Aspects relate to techniques for enabling co-channel coexistence in different radio access technologies (RATs) for sidelink communication. A wireless communication device may be configured to receive at least one resource reservation message using a first RAT. For example, each resource reservation message may identify at least one resource of a plurality of resources of a sidelink channel for a respective sidelink transmission using the first RAT. The wireless communication device may further be configured to estimate a channel occupancy of the sidelink channel of a second RAT based on measurements obtained over a total number of the plurality of resources and the at least one resource reservation message.

Co-channel coexistence in different radio access technologies for sidelink communication

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for receiver side protection in sidelink communications. In certain aspects, a method performed by an apparatus generally includes obtaining, from a first user equipment (UE), first control information, which includes a first resource allocation information of one or more resources allocated for transmission by the first UE to the apparatus and an indication of a first cell associated with the first UE. The method generally includes obtaining, from a second UE, second control information, which generally includes a second resource allocation information of resources allocated for transmission by the second UE to the apparatus and an indication of a second cell associated with the second UE. The method generally includes determining, based on the first and second control information, potential interference from transmissions by the first UE and the second UE and taking one or more actions to mitigate the potential interference.

Receiver side protection with resource forwarding in sidelink

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for dynamic resource avoidance and slot aggregation. The described techniques enable a user equipment (UE) in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system to select resources for varying transmission of a data packet (e.g., over multiple slots). The UE may determine a set of candidate transmission time intervals (TTIs) for transmission of the data packet based on a resource map, which may involve selecting resources that are unoccupied by other UEs as indicated by the resource map or preempting other UEs based on traffic priority or latency. The UE may transmit a reservation indication indicating resources to be reserved for subsequent transmissions (e.g., retransmission) and a UE receiving the reservation indication may update its resource map.

Resource reservation techniques for wireless communications

An apparatus decodes sidelink control information to obtain resource reservation information for sidelink communication. The apparatus maintains a mapping of the resource reservation information. The apparatus reports information comprised in the mapping to a base station.

Sidelink procedure of enabling resource conflict avoidance in resource allocation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit compressed bitmap(s) to indicate preferred or non-preferred sidelink resources. A first UE may monitor a set of sidelink resources including a set of slots and subchannels for the slots and determine which resources are available for communications for a second UE. In some examples, the first UE may generate a bitmap indicating which slots have at least one subchannel that is unavailable, and, for each slot having at least one subchannel that is unavailable, a bitmap indicating which subchannels are unavailable for that slot. Signaling of a set of resources to support inter user equipment coordination

Aspects presented herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication of an apparatus, e.g., a UE. In one aspect, the apparatus may detect at least one conflict in a set of reserved resources between two or more sidelink (SL) resource reservations, each of the two or more SL resource reservations being associated with each of two or more UEs. The apparatus may also configure at least one of an indication of the at least one conflict or at least one resource reservation forwarding message. The apparatus may also transmit, after detecting the at least one conflict in the set of reserved resources, one or more of at least one resource reservation forwarding message or an indication of the at least one conflict.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a sidelink transmission that includes a transport block, and may transmit sidelink feedback, for each of a plurality of code block groups included in the transport block, in respective physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resources. In some aspects, a UE may receive a sidelink transmission that spans a plurality of slots, and may transmitting, for the sidelink transmission, sidelink feedback in at least one of: first one or more PSFCH resources that occur during the sidelink transmission, or second one or more PSFCH resources that occur after the sidelink transmission. Feedback for sidelink transmissions

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using physical resource blocks (PRBs) of a sidelink resource pool that, in some cases, might not belong to a sub-channel in sidelink or are assigned to a special sub-channel. When a user equipment (UE) is transmitting a sidelink communication, the sidelink communication often takes place in resource pools that include sub-channels in frequency domain and slots in a time domain. A first subset of PRBs of the resource pool may be assigned to one or more sub-channels in the frequency domain. The disclosed methods, devices, and systems provide for identifying PRBs not assigned to the first subset (e.g., remaining or unused PRBs or PRBs assigned to a special sub-channel). In some aspects of the present disclosure, the UE may use these PRBs for various purposes.

Techniques for using physical resource blocks (PRBS) in a sidelink resource pool

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., sidelink systems, such as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) systems), wireless devices may perform dynamic resource reservations to schedule packet transmissions (e.g., data packet transmissions). Different packets may correspond to different priority levels. To support flexible resource reservation for high priority packets, wireless devices may implement techniques for preempting lower priority reservations. For example, a wireless device may identify reservations for transmitting different packets during a same transmission time interval (TTI). The device may determine whether a first or second packet has a higher relative priority and may communicate in the V2X system during the TTI according to the relative priorities. For example, a device that reserved the TTI for the lower priority packet may refrain from transmitting the packet during the TTI, while a device that reserved the TTI for the higher priority packet may transmit the packet.

Handling packets with different priorities in sidelink systems

Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating a SL communication for moderesource allocation are disclosed herein. An example method includes performing sensing on one or more SL resources to identify a first set of available resources. The example method further includes adjusting a first measurement threshold to a second measurement threshold based on a size of the first set of available resources being below an availability threshold. The example method further includes transmitting a sidelink message indicating a second set of available resources based on the second measurement threshold.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify multiple candidate sets of physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) transmissions that include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for sidelink communications received from one or more peer UEs. Concurrent physical sidelink feedback channel transmission

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a time offset for synchronization signal resources for synchronization signals associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). The UE may determine the synchronization signal resources and a synchronization periodicity based on the indication and a penetration ratio of UEs associated with the first RAT. The UE may selectively transmit the synchronization signals on the synchronization signal resources and according to the synchronization periodicity. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine that other synchronization signal resources are allocated for a second RAT and may select resources for communications associated with the first RAT based on determining that the other synchronization signal resources are allocated. The UE may perform communications associated with the first RAT based on selecting the resources.

Resource sharing between sidelink devices using different radio access technologies

In some aspects, a mobile station may transmit, from the mobile station to an encoding device, acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement (ACK-NACK) feedback based at least in part on a transmission by the encoding device, wherein the ACK-NACK feedback is associated with a feedback bin, and wherein the feedback bin is associated with a location of the mobile station. The mobile station may receive, at the mobile station from the encoding device, a network coding transport block, wherein the network coding transport block is formed based at least in part on the transmission and the ACK-NACK feedback associated with the feedback bin. A first user equipment (UE) may receive a sidelink message via a sidelink transmission resource of a shared sidelink resource pool that is shared between a communications according to a first radio access technology (RAT) and communications according to a second RAT. The UE may map sidelink transmission resource occasions of the shared resource pool to a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) occasion and map subchannels of the sidelink transmission occasions to respective resources of the PSFCH occasion.
