The present disclosure provides apparatuses and methods for establishing a random access. The apparatuses include a terminal which comprises circuitry which, in operation, generates a first random access preamble; and a transmitter which, in operation, transmits the first random access preamble to a base station on a first physical random access channel (PRACH) occasion (RO) among a plurality of RO candidates, the plurality of RO candidates being determined based on PRACH configuration information received from the base station, wherein the first RO is assigned within a first frequency region, the first frequency region being equal to a first sub-band in which a listen before talk (LBT) procedure is performed at the terminal.

A technique is disclosed, according to which a mobile node, having a plurality of interfaces and performing communication according to flow information when an operator is performing communication based on the flow information as defined by a policy, can select an interface suitable for the flow and can perform communication. According to this technique, a mobile node (MN) having a plurality of interfaces has a list to indicate domain limited flows to be transmitted only within a specific network (a trusted network), and a list to indicate the trusted networks. When a certain interface performs handover, and in case there is a domain limited flow that uses the interface, it is decided whether the network of handover destination is a trusted network or not, and in case the network of the handover destination is not a trusted network, it is decided whether it is possible or not to transmit and receive the domain limited flow via another interface that is connected to the trusted network.

The invention discloses a technique to adequately control a handover of a user terminal in a data communication network and to decrease the number of signalings. According to this technique, when address of a user terminal (UE ()) is not changed after a handover, UE () transmits a session update signaling message to carry out update processing of application session to P-CSCF 1 () corresponding to a location before the handover via P-CSCF 2 () corresponding to a location after the handover. P-CSCF 1 () transfers a session update signaling message to S-CSCF/AS () by using setup of signaling relating to UE () before the handover.
