A ceramic material includes zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA) doped with scandium (Sc) ions. ZTA can be further doped with other metal ions, and the other metal ions include cobalt (Co) ions, chromium (Cr) ions, zinc (Zn) ions, titanium (Ti) ions, manganese (Mn) ions, nickel (Ni) ions, or a combination thereof. The ceramic material can be used as a ceramic object, such as a wire bonding capillary, a heat dissipation plate, a denture tooth, orthopedic implants, direct bonded copper, or a high-temperature co-fired ceramic.

A ceramic material includes zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA), which is doped with zinc ions and other metal ions, in which the other metal ions are chromium (Cr) ions, titanium (Ti) ions, gadolinium (Gd) ions, manganese (Mn) ions, cobalt (Co) ions, iron (Fe) ions, or a combination thereof. The ceramic material may have a hardness of 1600 Hv10 to 2200 Hv10 and a bending strength of 600 MPa to 645 MPa. The ceramic material can be used as wire bonding capillary.

A method of forming low-k material is provided. The method includes providing a plurality of core-shell particles. The core of the core-shell particles has a first ceramic with a low melting point. The shell of the core-shell particles has a second ceramic with a low melting point and a low dielectric constant. The core-shell particles are sintered and molded to form a low-k material. The shell of the core-shell particles is connected to form a network structure of a microcrystal phase.

A p-type metal oxide semiconductor material is provided, which is composed of AlGeO, wherein 0&#x3c;x&#x2266;0.6, and 1.0&#x2266;y&#x2266;2.0. The p-type metal oxide semiconductor material can be applied in a transistor. The transistor may include a gate electrode, a channel layer separated from the gate electrode by a gate insulation layer, and a source electrode and a drain electrode contacting two sides of the channel layer, wherein the channel layer is the p-type metal oxide semiconductor material.

Disclosed is a phosphor having a formula of (SrMTmEu)SiGeO. Sr, M, Tm, and Eu are divalent metal ions, and M is selected from Ca, Ba, Mg, or combinations thereof. Si and Ge are tetravalent ions. 0&#x2266;a&#x2266;0.5, 0&#x2266;b&#x2266;0.03, 0&#x3c;c&#x2266;0.1, and 0&#x3c;d&#x2266;0.005. The phosphor can be collocated with a yellow phosphor and a blue light excitation source to complete a warm white light emitting device.

The invention provides phosphors composed of EuMaMbMgMcO, wherein Ma is Yb, Sn, Ce, Tb, Dy, or combinations thereof, and 0&#x3c;x&#x3c;0.5, Mb is Ca, Sr, Ba, or combinations thereof, and 0&#x2266;w&#x2266;0.5, and Mc is Al, Ga, Sc, In, or combinations thereof. The blue phosphors emit blue light under the excitation of ultraviolet light or blue light, and the phosphors may be further collocated with different colored phosphors to provide a white light illumination device. The blue phosphors of the invention can efficiently utilize light in solar cells.

The invention provides phosphors composed of EuMaMgMbAlMcO, wherein Ma is Yb, SN, Pb, Ce, Tb, Dy, Pr, Ca, Sr, Ba, or combinations thereof, and 0&#x2266;x&#x2266;0.9; Mb is Mn, Zn, or combinations thereof, and 0&#x3c;y&#x2266;0.7; Mc is Ga, In, B, or combinations thereof, and 0&#x2266;z&#x2266;5. These phosphors emit visible light under the excitation of ultraviolet light or blue light, and these phosphors may be further collocated with different color phosphors to provide a white light illumination device. Alternatively, the phosphors of the invention can improve the efficient utilization of the light in solar cell.

The invention provides a white light illumination device including an ultraviolet excitation light source and an ultraviolet excitable aluminosilicate phosphor. The ultraviolet excitable aluminosilicate phosphor has a formula as (M,Re)AlSiO:D, wherein M is Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba or combination thereof. In addition, Re is Y, La, Pr, Nd, Eu, Gd, Tb, Ce, Dy, Yb, Er, Sc, Mn, Zn, Cu, Ni, Lu or combination thereof, while 0&#x3c;a, b, c, d, 2a+3b+4c=2d, and 0&#x2266;x&#x2266;a. Furthermore, D is F, Cl, I, Br, OH, S or combinations thereof. The aluminosilicate phosphor emits blue or blue-green light under the excitation of ultraviolet light, and the aluminosilicate phosphor may further collocate with different color phosphors to provide a white light illumination device.

A cadmium tin oxide (CdSnO) multi-layer laminate is disclosed. The laminate comprises: a substrate; and a layer of CdSnO which is not an epitaxial structure; wherein, the composition of Sn/(Cd+Sn) is 1&#x2dc;20%. The method for producing the CdSnO multi-layer laminate is also described here. The method comprises steps of: (a) providing metal or oxide targets for sputtering films of CdSnO; and (b) sputtering films of CdSnO from the targets onto the substrate; wherein the composition of Sn/(Cd+Sn) is 1&#x2dc;20%.
