An autonomous mobile device is configured to move on a surface provided with a base station thereon, and is operated in one of a work state and return state. In the work state, the autonomous mobile device is operable to plot a movement route along which the autonomous mobile device moves, and is operable to adjust the movement route upon presence of an obstacle. In the return state, the autonomous mobile device is operable to plot a returning route on the surface from the current position to the base station, and to move along the returning route to the base station.

Autonomous mobile device and operating method for the same

A mowing machine includes a cutting unit, a conveying unit for conveying grass clippings away from the cutting unit, and a packing unit including a paper-rolling module and a paper-dispensing module. The paper-rolling module defines an accommodation space for collecting grass clippings from the conveying unit, and includes scrolling axles spaced apart from each other by a gap, and movable between an opened position, where the gap has a predetermined width for allowing passage of the grass clippings from the conveying unit through the gap into the accommodation space, and a closed position, where the scrolling axles rotate to pack the grass clippings with the paper dispensed from the paper-dispensing module.

Mowing machine

A method of navigating an autonomous mobile device to a base station is provided. In the method, when a detector detects a navigating signal sent out by the base station, the mobile device rotates in a first direction until the detector fails to detect the navigating signal, and a first time point is set at this time. Then, the mobile device rotates in a second direction opposite to the first direction until the detector fails to detect the navigating signal, and a second time point is set at this time. Afterward, the mobile device rotates in the first direction by a time computed based on the first and second time points to make the detector face the base station, and then, moves toward a direction pointed by the detector.

Autonomous mobile device and method for navigating the same to a base station

A detector device includes a detector module and a lens module. The detector module includes an optical emitter and a photon detector spaced apart from the optical emitter. The lens body includes a first light-transmissive surface, a second light-transmissive surface, and a third light-transmissive surface. The optical emitter is operable to emit a light beam passing through the first light-transmissive surface and the second light-transmissive surface toward a surface so as to define a field of emission on the surface. The photon detector is aligned with the first and third light-transmissive surfaces so as to define a field of view on the surface. An extent of overlap between the field of view and the field of emission varies in accordance with a distance between the optical emitter and the surface.
