The present invention relates to a method for modifying the glycosylation profile of a recombinant glycoprotein produced in cell culture comprising culturing eukaryotic cells expressing the recombinant glycoprotein in a cell culture medium, wherein the cell culture medium is supplemented with fucose, manganese, and taurine, wherein the glycosylation profile of the produced recombinant glycoprotein is modified to better resemble the glycosylation profile of a reference glycoprotein than when cultured without said supplementation.

A method and an apparatus for displaying 3D images are disclosed. 2D images are projected from multiple points to a surface with narrow diffusion characteristics, thus it is possible to get a 3D light field with arbitrary angular dependence. According to the invention, the projectors () do not target particular screen () points. The projectors () are directed to the screen () with no special positioning, however from the bunch of light beams present, pertaining to the large number of pixels in the projected images, it is possible to select and define a pixel-wise precise 3D light-field through a calibration process. A novel calibration method and device are also described for calibrating 3D display systems, the device being equipped with proper image sensor(s) and a control system.

Method and apparatus for displaying 3D images

An apparatus and an associated method for displaying 3D images includes a screen and a screen illuminating system. The screen has diffusion characteristics for direction selectively forwarding light. The screen illuminating system includes modules for generating light beams incident on points of the screen. The apparatus is configured to impart an exit divergence to the exiting light beams being transmitted through or reflected from the screen. Each module provides one beam in one direction with a convergent section. The beams are focused on the screen where the convergence (&#x3b4;) of an incident light beam is not greater than the exit divergence (&#x3b4;) of an exiting light beam.

There is disclosed a method and apparatus for the presentation of three-dimensional images, where light beams with appropriate intensity and optionally with appropriate color are projected in different viewing directions and thereby creating a three-dimensional image. The invention relates to a method for displaying three-dimensional images. In the method light beams (L) are associated to several different screen points (P) of a screen (). The light beams (L) produce different views associated to different emission directions (E). The emission directions (E) are associated to the individual screen points (P). The light beams (L) are generated by projecting light beams (L), according to the angle of the adjacent emitting directions. According to the invention, light beams (L) without viewing direction information are generated, essentially simultaneously, with pixels (C) having different co-ordinates. These pixels (C) are pixels of a two-dimension display (), and they are associated to different emitting directions (E) of the appropriate screen points (P). The light beams (L) produced by the pixels (C) of the display () with different co-ordinates are imaged simultaneously in different deflection directions (D), as a function of the co-ordinates of the pixels (C) producing the light beams (L). The subject of the invention is an apparatus implementing the above method.
