A left atrial appendage closure device may include an expandable framework having a plurality of struts joined at a proximal and distal hub. When the framework is fully constrained in a first position, a first segment of struts extends distally from the distal hub parallel to a central longitudinal axis to a first bend and a second segment of struts extends from the first bend proximally. A first amount of the framework is unconstrained in a second position, where the first segment extends distally from the distal hub parallel to the central longitudinal axis to the first bend, the second segment extends from the first bend proximally and radially outward to a second bend, a third segment of struts extends from the second bend proximally and radially inward to a third bend, and a fourth segment of struts extends from the third bend proximally to within the delivery sheath.

Left atrial appendage closure device

An implant for occluding a left atrial appendage may include an expandable framework configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The expandable framework includes a proximal hub and a distal hub. A longitudinal axis of the expandable framework extends from the proximal hub to the distal hub. A radiopaque marker may be positioned longitudinally between the proximal hub and the distal hub in the expanded configuration.

Left atrial appendage implant

A left atrial appendage closure implant may include a support frame including a first bend extending from a proximal collar to a second bend, a first segment extending from the second bend to a third bend, a second segment extending from the third bend to a fourth bend, and a third segment extending from the fourth bend to a distal collar, wherein the support frame is actuatable from a first constrained position to a second flowering position to a third mid-deployment position to a fourth unconstrained position. An implant may include a self-expanding support frame having a circumference and a central longitudinal axis, a membrane disposed over at least a portion of the support frame, and a plurality of anchors arranged into a first row and a second row such that the first row and the second row form a staggered pattern about the circumference of the support frame.

Left atrial appendage closure implant

An occlusion device (e.g., for treatment of the left atrial appendage) includes a framework and a biocompatible covering disposed over at least a part of the framework. The framework may include a proximal portion, a middle portion, and a distal portion, wherein: the proximal portion includes a first hub that has a fixed first diameter; the middle portion has a second diameter and includes a plurality of beams extending from the first hub to a distal portion, wherein each of the plurality of beams is connected to an adjacent beam by a first circumferentially extending column of strut pairs; and the distal portion has a third diameter. In one or more embodiments, the framework includes improved circumferential strength and minimizes foreshortening.
