A lock system for a motor vehicle includes a handle for opening a door or hatch, a drive device coupled to the handle, and a control device which is suited for checking an access code of a mobile ID transmitter, coupled to the drive device. A lock device is provided for the door or hatch. The handle can move between a non-use position in which it is flush with an outer contour of the door or hatch and an opening position in which it protrudes at least in part from the outer contour. The drive device is coupled and designed for opening or closing the door or hatch such that it moves along a movement path along which the drive device extends the handle into its opening position or retracts it into its non-use position, as well as actuating the lock device.

Lock system for a motor vehicle

A locking device () comprising at least one locking mechanism () having a catch (), a pivotal first pawl (), and a second pawl (), with which the first pawl () can be blocked from being swiveled. The locking device () further comprises a motor-driven actuating mechanism (), which displaces at least one operating lever () in such a manner that the operating lever (), during its movement cooperates with both pawls () one after the other. The locking device is used to lock or unlock seat backs of motor vehicles.

Closing device comprising two pawls and a motor-driven actuating mechanism

A motor-vehicle door latch has a housing, a fork pivotal on the housing between a bolt-retaining closed position and a bolt-releasing open position, and a pawl pivotal on the housing between a blocking position engaging the fork and retaining it in the closed position and a freeing position allowing the fork to move into the open position. A wheel rotatable about a wheel axis has a radially directed cam surface engageable with the pawl. A drive rotates the wheel and thereby engages the surface with the pawl to displace the pawl into its freeing position. Interengaging formations on the pawl and on the wheel block rotation of the wheel when the pawl is in the freeing position.

Power-open motor-vehicle latch

A key cylinder rotatable about an axis and a motor-vehicle door latch having a housing are used with a position-sensing system having a selector nut made of a nonferromagnetic material and coaxial with and coupled to the key cylinder for joint rotation about the axis therewith, an actuating permanent magnet imbedded in the selector nut and movable in an orbit about the axis on rotation of the selector nut about the axis, and a hall-effect sensor mounted on the latch housing at a small spacing from the orbit.

Position-sensor system for motor-vehicle door latch

A lock system has a lock cylinder pivotal about an axis between a pair of end positions and through a center starting position, a key fittable into the cylinder and actuatable to pivot the cylinder between its positions, an arcuate magnet centered on the axis and coupled to the cylinder for joint movement therewith, and a pair of angularly spaced Hall-effect sensors adjacent the magnet, trippable by the magnet to generate respective outputs, and positioned such that in the central position the magnet is closely juxtaposed with and trips both sensors, in one of the end positions the magnet is closely juxtaposed with and trips only one of the sensors and is spaced from the other of the sensors, and in the other end position the magnet is closely juxtaposed with and trips only the other sensor and is spaced from the one sensor. The sensors and magnet are so constructed and relatively positioned that on pivoting of the magnet through a predetermined angle in one direction from the center position the one sensor is tripped and on pivoting of the magnet through the predetermined angle in the other direction the other sensor is not tripped. A lock system connected to the sensors has an antitheft mode initiated by the sensors on displacement of the cylinder into the antitheft end positions and provided with a latch operable on displacement of the cylinder into the lock/unlock end position.

Hall-effect key-position sensor for motor-vehicle latch

A motor-vehicle door-latch system has a key cylinder pivotal about an axis from a center starting position into a pair of opposite end positions flanking the center position, a key insertable into the cylinder only in the starting position thereof, a latch operable by the cylinder on displacement of same into one of the end positions, and an arcuate magnet pivotal about the axis, polarized generally parallel to the axis, and coupled to the cylinder for joint angular movement therewith. A pair of hall-effect sensors are juxtaposed with the magnet and positioned such that in the central position the magnet is closely juxtaposed with both sensors, in the one end position the magnet is closely juxtaposed with one of the sensors and is spaced from the other of the sensors, and in the other end position the magnet is closely juxtaposed with the other sensor and is spaced from the one sensor. A lock system connected to the sensors has an antitheft mode initiated by the sensors on displacement of the cylinder into the other of the end positions.

Key-position sensor for motor-vehicle latch

A latch system usable with a motor-vehicle trunk lid that is movable between an open position and a closed position has a latch engageable with the lid and having a control element movable between a latched position in which the latch retains the lid in the closed position and an unlatched position in which it allows the lid to move from the closed to the open position and a pusher engageable with the lid and displaceable between a down position with the lid in the closed position and an up position forcing the lid into the open position. A drive motor has an output engageable with the control element and the pusher and displaceable through a first position moving the control element into the unlatched position and a second position moving the pusher into the up position. A remotely operable controller operates the drive motor and displaces its output sequentially through the first and second positions.

Motor-vehicle trunk-latch system

A motor-vehicle door latch has an operating lever and is provided with a child-safety cutout device movable between an enabled position in an on position of the operating lever and a disabled position in an angularly offset off position of the lever. A power actuator for the latch has a housing immediately adjacent the operating lever, an electric motor on the housing, and a rotatable output wheel on the housing adjacent the operating lever. A gear train on the housing connects the motor to the wheel for rotation of the wheel by the motor and a coupling lever fixed on and rotatable with the wheel has a pin that fits in a slot formed on the operating lever so that rotation of the wheel pivots the lever between its positions. A switching wheel or disk in the housing coaxial with and adjacent the output wheel is connected via a lost-motion coupling to the output wheel for rotating the switching wheel by the output wheel only after travel of the output wheel through a predetermined angular play. A switch in the housing operable by the switching wheel on rotation thereof signals the position of the operating lever.

Power actuator for child-safety motor-vehicle door latch

A central lock system for a motor vehicle having a trunk door and a gas-filler door, has respective latches at the trunk and gas-filler doors movable between locked and unlocked positions corresponding to locked and unlocked conditions of the respective doors and an actuator adjacent the trunk latch having a single output member displaceable between an actuated and an unactuated position and a motor connected to the member for displacing same between the respective positions. Respective trunk and gas-filler links are connected to the respective latches and are both connected to the member. A controller is connected to the motor for actuating same and thereby simultaneously moving the trunk and gas-filler latches between the locked and unlocked positions.
