A fault-rectification method for an eccentric screw pump of a conveying apparatus for conveying viscous construction materials, comprising the steps of monitoring a start of a conveying operation of the eccentric screw pump by way of a characteristic-variable-monitoring program of a control device of the conveying apparatus, wherein a working-free program is executed by the control device of the eccentric screw pump if, for one or more characteristic variables. The characteristic-variable-monitoring program acquires characteristic-variable values which are stored, alone or in combination with one another, as fault values that indicate jamming of a rotor/stator unit of the eccentric screw pump, and wherein otherwise a conveying operation is begun. The eccentric screw pump is operated in the working-free program in such a way that an electric motor of a drive unit of the conveying apparatus is multiply alternately switched on and switched off.

The invention relates to a paint spraying unit which includes a paint pump, a paint storage container, a paint spraying device, a paint line and a drive device, where the drive device drives the paint pump and the paint pump conveys paint out of the paint storage container through the paint line to a nozzle of the paint spraying device. An apparatus for delivering a viscous material by means of an eccentric screw pump, includes a framework for carrying and fastening apparatus elements, a pump-housing portion for carrying a stator and a rotor in the form of a delivery screw, suction and pressure regions for introducing and discharging the delivery material, respectively, an electric drive unit for driving the rotor in the stator in a first direction of rotation for delivering the delivery material, a control mechanism for activating the drive unit, and one or more releasable retaining members for the rotationally fixed and/or positionally fixed connection of the drive unit and of the stator. A change in the direction of rotation to a second direction of rotation of the electric drive unit, with the retaining mechanism released, gives rise to automatic separation of the pump-housing portion with the stator by virtue of the rotor being unscrewed.
