The present invention relates a method of manufacturing a hair cutting device with an outer metal shell, comprising the steps of forming the outer metal shell into a desired shape and mounting functional components for performing or helping to perform a personal care treatment into and/or onto said formed outer metal shell. Said forming the outer metal shell includes a hydraulic pressure forming step.

Method of manufacturing a hair cutter

The present invention is concerned with a skin treatment device and an interface for, preferably detachably, attaching a brush to a skin treatment device, wherein the skin treatment device comprises a drive unit, a component part driven by the drive unit to perform a rotatory and/or oscillating movement and a hood at least partially encasing said driven component part. One of said brush and said driven component part comprises at least two protrusions which both extend through openings in the hood when the brush is attached to the skin treatment device. At least one of said protrusions engages the other of said brush and said driven component part by snap fit when the brush is attached to the skin treatment device.

Interface for attaching a brush to a skin treatment device

The present invention is concerned with a skin treatment device, comprising a shaver handle housing, a detachable brush head pivotably supported by the shaver handle housing about at least one brush head pivot axis (I) and a gearing mechanism. The shaver handle housing comprises a drive unit for driving at least one drive pin in a rotatory oscillating manner with a first amplitude about an oscillation axis (II) which is at least substantially perpendicular to the at least one brush head pivot axis (I). The brush head comprises a brush rotatable about a brush axis (III) which is at least substantially perpendicular to the at least one brush head pivot axis (I). The brush comprises at least one driven element coupled to the at least one drive pin by means of the gearing mechanism, wherein the gearing mechanism translates the rotatory oscillating movement of the drive pin into a rotatory oscillating movement of the driven element with a second amplitude which is smaller than the first amplitude of the drive pin.

An electrically-driven device includes a handle and a head, wherein the head includes a head base coupled to the handle and movable in at least two dimensions relative to the handle and a first head attachment and a second head attachment, wherein each one of the first and second head attachments are releasably engageable, one at a time, with the head base, each one of the first and second head attachments includes a skin treatment implement constructed to treat skin or a cutting unit constructed to cut hair, and the first head attachment is different from the second head attachment.

An elongated outer blade for a slit cutter is disclosed. The outer blade extends along a first axis and comprises a number of slits and webs disposed between the slits. The webs have an upper surface, a lower surface and side surfaces extending between the upper and lower surfaces. At least some of the webs are provided with a concave clearance formed between a side surface and the lower surface forming an edge with the side surface. The invention relates to an electric shaver comprising at least a first long hair cutter element that is provided with a first under cutter and a first, non-foil type upper cutter, wherein one or both of the first under cutter and the first upper cutter oscillate relative to the other in a direction parallel to an axis (x) and at least one guard that is provided adjacent to the second upper cutter and extends parallel to axis (x), the guard is provided with a comb structure having several teeth each being provided with a skin contact top portion and several slots being provided between the teeth each being having a low portion for guiding the hair in between and wherein the comb structure is provided as a micro comb structure having a depth of the slots from the top portion of the teeth to the low portion of the slots ranging between 0.2 to 0.7 mm.

Dry shaver

A hair removal apparatus with a housing and an actuator head movable in the housing. The actuator head accommodates an actuator system that removes the hairs and is adapted to be driven by an electric drive mechanism arranged in the hair removal apparatus. The actuator system is movable into at least one active position for hair treatment. The actuator head has only one of its ends rotatably mounted on the housing. The actuator head is readily accessible from the one side, thus enabling hairs in problem areas of the skin surface to be removed.
