A motor vehicle steering system is disclosed. The system includes a steering spindle consisting of spindle members which are non-rotatably connected to one another. One end of a spindle member has a spline shaft profile and is introduced into a sleeve-like intermediate piece which is arranged on the other spindle member and, on the inner periphery, has a negative-shaped spline shaft profile with respect to the spline shaft profile such that the spindle member is plug-connected to the intermediate piece. In order for the spindle members to be able to be connected to each other with minimal effort even in the event of visual inaccessibility, a circumferential guide contour pointing toward the intermediate piece is formed on the spindle member. The guide contour is upstream of the spline shaft profile toward the intermediate piece and is perforated by grooves of the spline shaft profile to form convex guide segments.

Motor vehicle steering system, assembly tool and assembly method for a motor vehicle steering system

A steering spindle has a steering spindle connection connected to a fork crown of a steering coupling via an intermediate piece. The steering spindle connection and the intermediate piece are formed as plug partners at ends facing each other, by means of at least one tongue and groove guide element pair, which provides a torque-transmitting priority control. A groove and a tongue of the at least one tongue and groove guide element pair are positioned in the longitudinal axial direction on the steering spindle connection and the intermediate piece. The steering arrangement includes a clamping device that clamps the plug partners to each other in a plugging position.

Steering spindle arrangement

A steering arrangement includes a steering spindle and a steering coupling provided with a fork crown bearing a connecting element that connects an end of the steering spindle to the steering coupling in the form of a plug connection. To enable the combined steering spindle and steering coupling ends to be connected to each other in the correct relative position and thus to be able to prevent a defective assembly, the steering spindle end and the connecting element are coaxial plug partners on ends facing each other, by means of at least one tongue and groove guide element pair that provides a torque-transmitting priority control. The at least one groove and/or the at least one tongue of the guide element pair is molded on the interior of the shaft. A clamping device clamps the plug partners against each other in a plugging position so that they cannot come loose.

Steering arrangement

The present invention concerns a steering shaft () of a steering column () and () for a motor vehicle steering assembly (), wherein the steering shaft () includes a cylinder body () and a piston rod body () inserted telescopically therein, and on one end is connectible with a steering wheel () and at the other is connectible via a steering coupling () with a steering gear (). The assembly of the steering shaft () can be simplified thereby, that the steering shaft () includes at least one () pneumatic connection (), which communicates with a cylinder space (), which is provided in the cylinder body () and which cylinder space is axially bordered from the piston rod body (), in such a manner, that pressure actuation of the cylinder space () drives the piston rod body () to extend from the cylinder body ().

Adjusting arrangement for a steering column tube of a steering system of a motor vehicle having a swivellably disposed clamping lever which, in a released position, unblocks or, in a locked position, blocks a longitudinal or vertical displacement of the steering column tube, and has an actuating device for the manual releasing or locking of the clamping lever, which actuating device has a grip arrangement which, in a vehicle-fixed mounted condition, is accessible from a driver seat position. A guide rail arrangement is positioned on the steering column tube and is aligned in the longitudinal direction of the steering column tube. An adjusting slide block is displaceably held on the guide rail arrangement. The slide block is moved by the grip arrangement and is connected with the clamping lever.

Adjusting arrangement for a steering column tube of a steering system of a motor vehicle

In an arrangement for operating a control device of a vehicle by way of a pedal, a pedal lever is pivotally supported by a bearing bolt mounted on a vehicle structure and is biased by a return spring toward its idle end position. A friction element is provided so as to cooperate with the pedal lever and a friction surface on a stationary structure, the friction element being coupled to the return spring and being arranged to provide friction forces upon movement of the pedal lever, which are dependent on the pedal position and which are higher when the pedal lever is moved in a direction away from the idle end position than they are when the pedal lever is moved in the opposite direction.

In a vehicle control pedal unit comprising a mounting structure having a U-shaped mounting end with spaced parallel leg walls between which one end of a pedal lever having an eyepiece with an opening is pivotally supported, a bearing sleeve is disposed between the leg walls and extends through the eyepiece opening and a slide hub extends through the bearing openings in the leg walls and through the bearing sleeve and is interlocked with the bearing sleeve for retaining the bearing sleeve and the lever arm in position between the leg walls of the mounting structure.

In a vehicle control pedal unit comprising a mounting structure having a U-shaped mounting end with spaced parallel leg walls between which one end of a pedal lever is pivotally supported to which a pedal is attached at its other end, a cover is disposed, and pivotally supported with one end, on the spaced parallel leg walls for at least partially closing the space between the leg walls and a return spring having one end attached to the pivot lever is disposed in the space between the parallel leg walls and connected with its other end to the cover for resiliently holding said cover in a closed position in engagement with the leg walls and biasing the pivot lever into an idle end position.

In a motion transmitting mechanism for controlling a power output control member such as a butterfly valve of an internal combustion engine, wherein a control input member is operatively connected to an input lever which cooperates with an output lever by means of a projection received on a guide slot formed in the input lever, the guide slot has first and second slot sections arranged at an angle and adapted to operate the output lever and the power output control member at a relatively small motion transmission ratio with a relatively large incremental operating force increase in a lower partial load range when the projection is in the first slot section and at a relatively high motion transmitting ratio with relatively small incremental operating force increase in a higher partial load range.
