A locking device for a movable vehicle element of a vehicle may have at least a rotary catch, a locking element and an associated blocking mechanism. The blocking mechanism may have at least one blocking element and a movable actuating element for locked coupling of the rotary catch and the locking element. The movable actuating element may be designed to move the rotary catch into a closed position going beyond at least one latching position and to stop in this closed position. The rotary catch and the blocking element may be out of latching engagement in the closed position.

Locking device

An adjustment device for a steering wheel may have a first shaft about which the steering wheel is pivotable. A rotary latch is rotationally fixed to the steering wheel by a rotary latch element. A second shaft is arranged in parallel with the first shaft. A coupling lever is arranged on the second shaft to interact with the rotary latch element. The coupling lever has a stop surface which, for the purpose of engagement, engages in at least one corresponding stop surface of the rotary latch element when the steering wheel, and thus also the rotary latch, is pivoted. At least one of the stop surfaces may have a chamfer via which the coupling lever can be displaced or is displaced out of the engagement with the rotary latch element when a predetermined force is applied to the steering wheel.

Adjustment device for a steering wheel of a motor vehicle

A motor vehicle lock in accordance with the invention comprises a pivotable catch having a jacket surface, a pawl which is acted on by a preloading force and which is pivotable between a blocking position in which the pawl blocks the catch and an unblocking position in which the catch is unblocked, a release lever for pivoting the pawl against the preloading force, and an arresting device for arresting the pawl in a release position in which it releases the catch, wherein a part of the arresting device is formed by the release lever.

Vehicle lock

An operating element with a drive motor equipped with a drive shaft, which can be driven in two opposite rotational directions to move an actuating element between two end positions by a motion transmission device. Each of two motion transmission devices includes a winding body, onto which a traction element is wound in the direction opposite to that in which the traction element of the other transmission device is wound. The free end of the traction element is attached to the actuating element.
