A method applies aerodynamically functional film to a body around which complex flow occurs. The method includes: determining flow lines on a surface of the body for a predetermined surrounding flow state on a basis of a computer model of the body using a numerical flow simulation; developing at least one surface segment of the computer model provided with flow lines to form a two-dimensional surface; locating at least one coherent field in the developed surface segment having local flow directions readable at the flow lines in a predetermined angle range around a main flow direction of the respective field; and applying the aerodynamically functional film to the body within the field boundary of the at least one field located in the developed surface segment in such a way that the aerodynamically functional film is aligned along the main flow direction of the respective field.

Method for applying an aerodynamically functional film

A housing-free hatrack for a passenger cabin of an aircraft includes a hatrack body, at least one fixing brace and a support which is arranged between the hatrack body and one end of the fixing brace in such a way that the hatrack body is pivotable about a pivot axis. The other end of the fixing brace may be connected to a frame of an aircraft structure of the aircraft. This hatrack dispenses with the double-walled construction of conventional hatracks and the hatrack is therefore directly fixed to the structure of the aircraft.

Housing-free hatrack

A hatrack module with a moveable hatrack comprises a housing with a hatrack accommodation space, a hatrack with laterally arranged guide elements and optionally at least one passenger service unit, wherein each guide rail is arranged on one sidewall of the hatrack accommodation space, and wherein the guide elements of the hatrack can be made to engage the guide rails on the housing.

Storage compartment module with mobile storage compartment

A hatrack module with integral service channel for optimized mounting comprises a housing with a hatrack accommodation space and a passenger service channel, a hatrack with laterally arranged guide elements, and at least one passenger service unit, wherein in each case a guide rail is arranged on the sidewalls of the hatrack accommodation space, and wherein a wall of the housing comprises at least one reach-through access opening, and wherein the guide elements of the hatrack can be made to engage the guide rails on the housing.
