Video wall, driver circuits, controls and method thereof

A display device includes pixels-arranged in an array with rows and columns, column lines, each connected to the pixels of one of the columns, row lines, each connected to the pixels of one of the rows, and a control unit connected to the column lines and the row lines. The control unit is configured to generate a column pulse for a selected one of the column lines and generate a data signal for a selected row line from the row lines. The data signal includes a set pulse which, when the pixel is set to a radiating state, is applied at least in part to the pixel connected to the selected column and row line when the column pulse is applied to the pixel, and drives the pixel such that a light emission of the pixel depends on the time offset between the column pulse and the set pulse.

A display device is disclosed. In an embodiment a display device includes a plurality of image points, each image point comprising at least one active region configured to generate first radiation, a carrier including a drive circuit for the plurality of image points and a detector assigned to at least some image points, the detector configured to receive second radiation, wherein at least some image points are configured to act either as an emitter or as a detector during operation of the display device.

The method of manufacturing a plurality of semiconductor chips () comprises a step A) of providing a semiconductor substrate () having a plurality of integrated electronic circuits () on a top side () thereof. In a step B), a sacrificial layer () is applied on one side of the semiconductor substrate. In a step C), holes () are introduced in the sacrificial layer so that at least one hole is formed above each electronic circuit. In a step D), the semiconductor substrate is adhered to a carrier () with the sacrificial layer at the front, an adhesive layer () being used between the sacrificial layer and the carrier, and the adhesive layer filling the holes so that holding elements () from the adhesive layer are formed in the holes. In a step E) the semiconductor substrate is thinned. In a step F) separation trenches () are introduced between the electronic circuits, which extend from a side of the electronic circuits facing away from the carrier to the sacrificial layer and penetrate the thinned semiconductor substrate. In a step G) the sacrificial layer is removed in the region between the electronic circuits and the carrier.

A damage estimation unit is configured to estimate a condition of the structure based on analyzing a history of stored samples of the lightning induced current of the multiple lightning strikes from the non-volatile memory.
