A surgical implant comprises an areal, flexible, mesh-like basic structure () including a knitted fabric made in gallon crotcheting technique, in which mesh pores () are formed from chains () made in closed pillar stitch. Adjacent chains (') are connected to each other, by at least one inlaying weft thread (), in sections forming a respective common side () of two adjacent mesh pores (&#x2032;). The inlaying weft thread (), in the region of said common side (), runs in at least three loop courses ().

Surgical implant

A surgical implant adapted for repairing a tissue or muscle wall defect comprises an areal, flexible basic structure which defines a primary region and at least one arm starting from the primary region and having a free end and an end area extending up to the free end. The arm is folded back and fixed (e.g. welded, sutured or glued), in its end area, to the primary region of the basic structure. Preferably, the basic structure is made from one piece and comprises a mesh.

A surgical implant () comprises a basic structure () having a first face () and a resorbable film () attached to the first face () of the basic structure (). A plurality of solid protrusions () emerges from the film () in a direction away from the basic structure (). The protrusions () comprise a shape defined by a respective body and a respective head, the body emerging from the film () and terminating in the head, and the head projecting laterally with respect to the body.

Surgical mesh implant

A surgical implant () adapted for repairing a tissue or muscle wall defect comprises an outer section () and an inner section () located in the outer section (), wherein the outer section () and the inner section () are formed from one double-sheet of a flexible basic structure, which preferably comprises a mesh. The implant can be strengthened by reinforcement elements ().
