A circuit arrangement includes a preprocessing circuit configured to obtain context information related to a user location, a learning circuit configured to determine a predicted user movement based on context information related to a user location to obtain a predicted route and to determine predicted radio conditions along the predicted route, and a decision circuit configured to, based on the predicted radio conditions, identify one or more first areas expected to have a first type of radio conditions and one or more second areas expected to have a second type of radio conditions different from the first type of radio conditions and to control radio activity while traveling on the predicted route according to the one or more first areas and the one or more second areas.

Methods and devices for radio communications

A system may include a client device running multiple client-side applications and server equipment running multiple server-side applications. One or more traffic aggregators may be provided between the client-side applications and the server-side applications. Each traffic aggregator may aggregate application traffic from the multiple applications to form one or more classes of aggregated data. Interfaces may be provided between the traffic aggregators and the applications to customize application traffic. Traffic aggregators in the system may be dynamically updated.

A wireless communication device includes a processor configured to select an offload processing task for performance by an edge computing device; cause a baseband modem to establish a direct wireless connection between the wireless communication device and the edge computing device; cause the baseband modem to send first data to the edge computing device via the direct wireless connection; and receive second data from the edge computing device, wherein the second data comprise a result of the offload processing task performed on the first data. The edge computing device includes a processor configured to receive, from a user device, offloaded data to be processed according to an offload processing task; execute the offload processing task on the offloaded data; and cause the radio via the interface to wirelessly send a result of the executed offload processing task via a direct wireless connection with the user device.

A method of communicating between a physical control device and an electronic device is disclosed herein, the physical control device having a plurality of conductive protrusions detectable by a touch screen of the electronic device when placed in contact with the touch screen. The method comprises identifying, via the electronic device, the physical control device in contact with the touch screen based on a conductive pattern of the conductive protrusions detected by a capacitive touch sensor panel of the touch screen. The method further includes performing a first action at the electronic device in accordance with an input to the physical control device that causes a change in a characteristic of the conductive pattern of the plurality of conductive protrusions detected by the capacitive touch sensor panel, and ignoring a touch input at the capacitive touch sensor panel from a housing of the physical control device.

Physical control device for touchscreens

A communication device for multi-radio access technology (RAT) communications includes one or more processors and a plurality of transceivers. Each transceiver is configured to operate in at least one RAT of a plurality of RATs. The processors are configured to establish connection with a second communication device using a first transceiver of the plurality of transceivers and a first RAT of the plurality of RATs. A first data stream associated with a communication link connected to the second communication device and a third communication device is receive via a convergence function at the second communication device. The communication link uses a second RAT of the plurality of RATs. A code sequence is applied to a second data stream to generate an encoded second data stream, which is transmitted to the third communication device via a second communication link established based on information received via the first data stream.

V2X communications using multiple radio access technologies (multi-RAT)

An apparatus of a wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), can include processing circuitry configured to perform one or more of the handover-related techniques disclosed herein. For example, when associated with moving with a plurality of mobile devices from coverage of a first cell to a second cell, the processing circuitry can detect the second cell. One or more parameters of the second cell can be measured. The one or more parameters can be communicated to one or more other mobile devices of the plurality of mobile devices.

Handover-related technology, apparatuses, and methods

Systems, devices, and techniques for V2X communications using multiple radio access technologies (RATs) are described herein. A communication associated with one or more of the multiple RATs may be received at a device. The device may include a transceiver interface with multiple connections to communicate with multiple transceiver chains. The multiple transceiver chains can be configured to support multiple RATs. Additionally, the multiple transceiver chains may be controlled via the multiple connections of the transceiver interface to coordinate the multiple RATs to complete the communication.

A method for controlling a bandwidth used for processing a baseband transmit signal by a transmit path of a transmitter is provided. The method includes generating a first comparison result by comparing, to a threshold value, a first number of physical resource blocks allocated to the transmitter for a first transmission time interval. Further, the method includes generating a second comparison result by comparing, to the threshold value, a second number of physical resource blocks allocated to the transmitter for a subsequent second transmission time interval. The method additionally includes adjusting the bandwidth based on the first and the second comparison results.

A communication device adapted for communicating in a communication system can include a receiver, a processor, and a transmitter. The receiver can receive (e.g., capture, sniff) information from one or more wireless devices (e.g., vehicles) using a first communication technology (e.g., V2X technologies). The processor can process the received information to generate system information associated with the communication system. The transmitter can transmit the system information to one or more wireless devices using a second communication technology (e.g., LTE) different from the first communication technology.

The critical scenario identification circuit may be configured to perform a comparison between a first set of the one or more measurement results and predefined criteria associated with handover disruption. The measurement report control circuit may be configured to select a selected reporting configuration from a default handover speed reporting configuration and an accelerated handover speed reporting configuration based on the comparison, wherein the accelerated handover speed reporting configuration produces a lower expected handover latency than the default handover speed reporting configuration and to transmit a second set of the one or more measurement results according to the selected reporting configuration.
