An apparatus is described, the apparatus including a case, a display assembly, a chassis connected to the display assembly, a suspension component between the display assembly and the case, wherein the suspension component is configured to allow the display assembly to move relative to the case, at least one vibrating element configured to actuate the chassis to move the display assembly relative to the case to generate at least one of acoustic waves or haptic/tactile effect, and an internal cavity below the display, wherein electronic components of the apparatus are located at the internal cavity.

An apparatus includes a first portion configured to carry one or more components of the apparatus and at least one wall extending between two or more sides of the first portion; an actuator located in the first portion adjacent to the at least one wall; and a movable section on the first portion and configured to be actuated by the actuator. At least the first portion and the movable section define a speaker.

Apparatus and method for reducing sound coupling

An apparatus including a frame; and a speaker connected to the frame. The speaker includes at least one vibrating element and least one display element. The least one vibrating element is configured to at least partially move the at least one display element generate sound waves from the at least one display element. A connection of the speaker to the frame includes a first section at a first location of the at least one display element and a second section at a second location of the at least one display element. The first section includes a soft suspension of the at least one display element between the at least one display element and the frame. The second section includes a harder suspension of the at least one display element between the at least one display element and the frame than the first section. The at least one vibrating element is located away from the second location of the at least one display element and located proximate the at least one display element at the first location of the at least one display element so as to move the at least one display element substantially using the first section based on the soft suspension of the at least one display element.

Speaker suspension

An apparatus including a flexible circuit having a flexible substrate and at least one electrical conductor; and a least one piezoelectric member adapted to move when a voltage is applied to the piezoelectric member. The piezoelectric member is mounted to a first side of the flexible substrate and electrically connected to at least one of the electrical conductors.
