A hearing device and an accessory device for a hearing device is disclosed, the accessory device comprising an interface, one or more processors, and a memory, the memory having an audio configuration of the hearing device stored therein, the audio configuration comprising a visibility setting indicative of the hearing device, wherein the one or more processors are configured to: receive, via the interface, a configuration request for update of the audio configuration, the configuration request comprising an updated visibility setting; determine, in response to the configuration request, an updated audio configuration including the updated visibility setting; and transmit, via the interface, the updated audio configuration to the hearing device.

An audio rendering device includes: at least one wireless communications interface configured to receive a first plurality of audio packets from a wireless communication device, the first plurality of audio packets including frames of audio data for a first audio channel from a set of one or more audio channels; and a processing unit; wherein the audio rendering device is configured to release, at respective first buffer release times, the frames of the audio data for the first audio channel from a first buffer for rendering by the processing unit; wherein the audio rendering device is configured to receive one or more messages from an other audio rendering device; and wherein the audio rendering device is configured to synchronize the first buffer release times with second buffer release times associated with the other audio rendering device based on the received one or more messages.

A method for determining HRTF includes obtaining a plurality of reference images of different respective ears, one or more of the reference images associated with a corresponding pre-determined HRTF information, obtaining information regarding an input image that includes an image of an ear of a subject, comparing the information regarding the input image with information regarding the reference images using a processor, and selecting one of the pre-determined HRTF information based at least in part on a result of the act of comparing.
