A digital closed loop control system. An output signal is detected with the aid of an analog-to-digital converter. A correction value is subtracted from the output signal prior to the analog-to-digital conversion and this correction value is added up again after the analog-to-digital conversion. The correction value in this case may be dynamically adapted. In this way, the analog-to-digital converter may be operated in a narrow conversion range.

A method for optimizing the operation of a digital controller provided in a control loop for a step-up converter. The method includes: evaluating at least one output variable of the digital controller during operation of the step-up converter; estimating the instantaneous load resistance value in the path of the control loop based on the at least one evaluated output variable; setting at least one controller coefficient of the digital controller based on the estimated instantaneous load resistance value during operation of the step-up converter. A change in the setting of the at least one controller coefficient results in a change in the transition frequency in the control loop. Furthermore, a control loop for a step-up converter that includes a digital controller is provided, which is configured to carry out the steps of the method. A computer program product that includes computer-executable program code for carrying out the method.

A method is described for controlling switching edges for switched output stages, in which a voltage at a switching node of the output stage is detected; a reference time is started when the voltage reaches a predefined reference value; the steepness of the switching edge is reduced if the voltage has reached a second predefined reference value at an end of the reference time; and the steepness of the switching edge is increased if the voltage has not reached the second predefined reference value at the end of the reference time. Furthermore, a control device for adjusting switching edges for switched output stages is provided.

Circuit arrangement for switching an inductive load, for example in clocked voltage regulators, includes a switching transistor which is operated in a high-side circuit and is connected to a free-running transistor in a half-bridge arrangement, with the inductive load to be switched positioned in a node between the switching transistor and the free-running transistor. The circuit arrangement also includes a driving circuit for the switching transistor. The switching transistor is connected to an auxiliary transistor in a current balancing arrangement, and the current balancing mode of the transistors can be controlled as a function of a potential present in the node.
