A glass-ceramic cooktop is provided that is made of glass-ceramic material with a flat upper side and an underside. The glass-ceramic material has transmittance values of greater than 0.1% in the visible light range in the total wavelength region greater than 420 nm, a light transmittance in the visible range of 0.8-2.5%, and a transmittance of 0-85% in the infrared at 1600 nm, and wherein the glass-ceramic material has high quartz mixed crystals as the prevalent crystal phase. The underside is flat, unstructured, and coplanar with the upper side.

A cooktop with a graphical display device is provided. The cooktop includes a glass ceramic substrate with a dead-front effect in which lightness differences in the display area and in particular differences between the latter and the adjacent areas of the cooktop are not visible for a user from the exterior. A cooking apparatus with a cooktop composed of a glass or glass-ceramic material is provided. The cooking apparatus includes a heating element and a lighting element that are disposed in the region below the underside of the cooktop. The heating element is applied to the underside of the cooktop indirectly by a pressing device or directly by pre-stressing one or a plurality of spring elements. The lighting element and the heating element are disposed on a common support section of the pressing device in such a way that they are adjustable with an oscillation of the cooktop.

A display device is provided that is a transparent, colored glass-ceramic with a display face on the front, an illumination face on the back, and at least one light-emitting element being disposed in the region of the illumination face. The display device further includes a color compensation filter in the form of a color layer introduced directly or indirectly on the glass ceramics.

A two-dimensional sensor arrangement is provided that detects locations, e.g. finger locations, in two or three dimensions, which is particularly suitable for touch-sensitive touchpads or touchscreens. The sensor arrangement includes a sensing zone in which a plurality of sensors are arranged, and contact zone, e.g. externally thereto, in which a plurality of electrically conductive contact points are arranged, which are connected to the sensors. The number of contact points is very small, although the electrically conductive components of the sensor arrangement form a single-layered network.

The display device further includes a color compensation filter and a at least partially transparent intermediate layer between the color compensation filter and the glass-ceramic.

A transparent, dyed cooktop is provided that has improved color display capability. The cooktop is made of a glass ceramic having high quartz mixed crystals as the predominant crystal phase, wherein the glass ceramic comprises none of the chemical refining agents arsenic oxide and/or antimony oxide, except for inevitable trace amounts. The glass ceramic has transmission values of greater than 0.1% in the range of visible light over the entire wavelength range greater than 450 nm, light transmission in the visible range of 0.8 to 5%, and transmission in the infrared at 1600 nm of 45-85%. The glass ceramic also includes a display apparatus that has a display device which is designed to display different operating conditions with different colors and/or symbols.

Transparent, dyed cooktop

An oven muffle that has at least two wall elements adjoining each other, which delimit at least some regions of an interior space that is used as a cooking chamber. The wall elements are of a glass or a glass ceramic and the adjacent wall elements are oriented at an angle with respect to one another. In an oven muffle of this invention, along with ease of cleaning, a simple structural design is achieved if the wall elements are integrally joined to one another and constitute one formed part.
