A method for controlling a machine block comprising a blow-moulding machine for producing bottles and comprising a filler for filling a liquid product into bottles, and a corresponding machine block. Accordingly, the blow-moulding machine comprises an electronic blow-moulding machine controller and an even number of circulating blow-moulding stations, and the filler comprises an electronic filler controller and an even number of circulating filling stations. Since the blow-moulding machine controller specifies a division selection, and the filler controller automatically selects, on the basis of the division selection, one of several filler operating modes all of the machine controllers in the region of the machine block can be instructed in a superordinate manner by the blow-moulding machine controller to automatically adjust the respective operating mode.

A labelling apparatus for the labelling of containers includes at least one first labelling device, a storage device and a control device. The at least one first labelling device applies a label from a first strip of labels to a container. The control device controls the labelling of the containers based on a detection result of a first detection device which detects a pattern of containers and container-absence points in a supply flow of the containers to the first labelling device, and/or on the basis of a detection result of a second detection device which detects a filling state of the labels in the storage device. The control interrupts the labelling of the container if the first detection device detects a pre-determined pattern of containers and container-absence points and/or if the second detection device detects a pre-determined filling state of the labels in the storage device.

A bottle treatment system having a safety unit that improves the operational process, including a first accessible safety region, a second accessible safety region and a shut-off device. The first safety region is delimited by a first protection in which a first machine has a drive associated with the first protective region. The second accessible protective region is delimited by a second protection direction following the first protection, with a second machine having at least one further drive associated to the second protective region. A bottle transport from the first machine to the second machine is provided via a transport device, as provided with an individual drive and exceeds the protective region. The shut-off device turns off the machine drive associated with at least one of the respective protective regions and the drive of the transport device exceeding the protective region, if access to protective region is detected.
