Various aspects of a method and system for authentication of a virtual currency instrument for a monetary transaction are disclosed herein. In accordance with an embodiment, the method includes activation of a software module different from a payment application at an electronic device. An authentication of secure information, which is read through the payment application by the software module, is performed at the electronic device. Output of an authentication result occurs at the electronic device based on the authentication from the software module for the monetary transaction.

Method and system for authenticating a virtual currency instrument

Various aspects of an apparatus and a method for issued token management are disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises an interface configured to communicate with a plurality of electronic devices, via a token server. The apparatus includes a controller configured to receive, from the token server, a plurality of registration requests generated by a user associated with the plurality of electronic devices. An account and associated identity of each of the plurality of electronic devices may be confirmed for a virtual currency instrument that corresponds to the user and an approval is transmitted to issue a token to each of the plurality of electronic devices. A plurality of instantiations of the virtual currency instrument, from the plurality of electronic devices, is registered in a user profile related to the user and stored in a memory along with the associated electronic device information, and the virtual currency instrument information.

Method and apparatus for issued token management

Various aspects of a method and system to provide a recommendation for selection of a merchant store are disclosed herein. The method includes reception, by a server, of a recommendation request for selection of one or more merchant stores from a plurality of merchant stores. The recommendation request is associated with a beneficiary. The method further includes determination, at the server, of a score associated with each of the plurality of merchant stores based on a plurality of weighted parameters associated with the beneficiary. Various aspects of a method and system for processing a monetary transaction are disclosed herein. The method includes registration, at a server, of a first virtual currency instrument that corresponds to a first account and one or more other virtual currency instruments that corresponds to one or more other accounts. The registered first virtual currency instrument is associated with a first value. The method further includes reception, at the server, of a redemption request of the registered first virtual currency instrument to process the monetary transaction. The received redemption request is higher than the first value associated with the registered first virtual currency instrument by an excess value. The method further includes redemption, at the server, the first value associated with the registered first virtual currency instrument and at least portions of one or more other values associated with the registered one or more other virtual currency instruments that correspond to the excess value, to process the monetary transaction.
