A rotary current machine system and method for controlling an electric rotary current machine, in particular an induction machine, having a rotor, a stator and at least two phase windings is disclosed. At least one electrical signal, in particular a voltage signal, is applied to at least one phase winding, preferably all phase windings, of the rotary current machine, and the current waveform in the at least one phase winding is measured. An intermodulation signal component, induced in the rotary current machine by slotting effects and magnetic saturation effects, which is determined from the current waveform measured in the at least one phase winding, is used for controlling the rotary current machine.

Method for detecting load differences between at least one first electrical machine and at least one second electrical machine connected in parallel thereto, which are fed by an inverter, wherein the machines each are connected to the inverter via three supply lines and in two supply lines of the at least one first machine and in one of the supply lines of the at least one second machine, the currents are measured with the aid of current measuring sensors in the respective supply lines and, on the basis of the measured current values of the at least one first machine, the corresponding unmeasured currents of the at least one second machine are estimated, and the estimated total current of the supply lines of the at least one second machine is detected as a measure of deviation of the currents of the at least one second machine from the at least one first machine.

Method for detecting load differences

The invention relates to a method and a device () for the online-detection of a deterioration in the state of an insulation in an electric machine (). A stepped voltage is applied to the winding(s) () of the machine () with the aid of a converter (), and the current (i) induced in this manner, and/or the time derivative (di/dt) thereof, is acquired as a measurement signal with the aid of at least one sensor () and is then oversampled with a frequency higher than the frequencies characteristic for settling. The signal obtained by said oversampling is then evaluated with regard to parameters of the settling process such as overshooting (Ah) and/or natural frequency (1/&#x394;T) and/or a damping constant, in order to detect any deterioration in the insulation.

Method and device for detecting a deterioration in the state of an insulation in an operating electric machine

A fault-tolerant control system and method for variable-speed variable-pitch wind turbines with an inverter-fed generator. When generator faults are detected, the generator torque and/or flux is limited to prevent propagation of the faults and possible failure and shutdown of the generator. The control system and method improves on two-loop control methods for variable-speed variable-pitch wind turbines and provides improved power delivery under fault conditions.
