A method for producing an anode for a lithium-ion battery includes providing an anode collector carrier film and applying a coating compound onto at least one main surface of the anode collector carrier film. The coating compound contains a particulate auxiliary material. The coating compound is subsequently compressed to form an anode film on the anode collector carrier film. During the compression of the coating compound, the anode collector carrier film is perforated. A lithium-ion battery is also described.

A method for producing a composite electrode for a lithium or lithium-ion battery comprises: providing a current collector having a main surface; forming a first electrode layer on the main surface of the current collector, wherein a first adhesion is formed between the current collector and the first electrode layer along the main surface; forming a second electrode layer on the first electrode layer, wherein the first and second electrode layer contact each other along a contact surface opposite the main surface of the current collector, the second electrode layer is adhesively connected to the first electrode layer along the contact surface; and compressing the first and second electrode layer by means of a compression device, wherein, during the compressing, a pressure element of the compression device exerts a pressure on at least one part of the surface of the second electrode layer opposite the contact surface, and a second adhesion can form between the pressure element and the part of the second electrode layer on which the pressure is exerted, wherein the ratio between the first adhesion and the second adhesion resulting from the compression is greater than one.

A method for producing a lithium-ion cell is provided. The electrochemically active coating of an electrode is brought into contact with an electrolyte or an auxiliary liquid before a winding or cutting operation. This method is suitable in particular for continuously producing lithium-ion cells by means of processes proceeding at high speed, such as winding processes.

A cathode in a state prior to a first charging process is provided having an active cathode material and lithium peroxide. A lithium ion battery or an electrochemical cell includes the same cathode. A method is also provided for forming a lithium ion battery, and a lithium ion battery is provided which includes a cathode having an active cathode material, a separator, an anode having an active anode material, and an electrolyte, wherein after a formed cell is fully discharged, the active cathode material holds the same lithium content as before the formation process.

A lithium cell is provided having an anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte gel which is located at least between the anode and the cathode and contains a lithium ion conducting salt solution. The electrolyte gel contains fibers which can be crosslinked using the lithium ion conducting salt solution and which have a surface tension of at least 30 mN/m. The lithium cell has an increased mechanical and thermal stability.

A composite electrode is provided having a collector, the collector is coated with an electrode composition containing an active electrode material, a binding agent, and a conductivity additive such as conductive carbon black. The electrode composition has a concentration gradient along the direction of the electrode thickness in respect of the active electrode material and the conductivity additive, with the concentration gradient of the active electrode material increasing toward the collector, and the concentration gradient of the conductivity additive and the binder decreasing toward the collector. Two different methods of producing the composite electrode are also provided. A lithium-ion battery is further provided which includes a composite electrode having a collector, the collector is coated with an electrode composition containing an active electrode material, a binding agent, and a conductivity additive.

A method for the at least partial production of an electrical energy storage cell includes providing the electrode/separator arrangement, providing a plastics foil of self-adhesive form, and applying the self-adhesive plastics foil to at least a subregion of the arrangement surface. The energy storage cell has a storage cell housing in which there is accommodated an electrode/separator arrangement which is required for the operation of the energy storage cell. The electrode/separator arrangement has a layer structure with a sequence of cathode layers and anode layers. A metal-oxygen battery system, in particular a lithium-oxygen battery system, includes at least one battery cell, in particular a lithium-oxygen cell, including an oxygen cathode, a metal anode, and a metal ion-conducting separator situated between the cathode and the anode. To increase the current carrying capacity, the battery system also includes a turbomachine system which is connected to the oxygen cathode in a gas-conducting manner and which may be switched over between a suction function and a blowing function, and/or an exhaust gas supply line for supplying a gas low in oxygen to the oxygen cathode. Also described is a corresponding operating method.

A battery housing includes an inner chamber configured to accommodate galvanic cells, in particular lithium-ion cells, which are provided with a cut-out area that can be opened in the event of failure of the cell. In order to prevent, retard and optionally at least partially extinguish a fire in the event of the failure of one or more cells, for example during an accident of an electrically operated vehicle, the inner chamber of the battery housing includes at least one dispenser for dispensing a flame-inhibiting, flame-retarding and/or flame-extinguishing agent. The dispenser has at least one dispenser opening arranged adjacent to a cut-out area of a cell and configured to be opened. The dispenser opening is configured to be opened during a mechanical shock and/or a temperature increase and/or a pressure increase above a predetermined limit value.

Battery housing for lithium-ion cells

A lithium-ion cell includes outgoing conductor foils and collectors. The outgoing conductor foil of a negative electrode of the lithium-ion cell consists of an aluminum foil which is covered on both sides with a metal layer. The collector for the negative electrode has an aluminum workpiece, which is at least partially covered with a metal layer. The metal layers of the outgoing conductor foil and of the collector consist of copper or nickel.
