The invention discloses a method for producing packaging units and the produced packaging units, comprising at least two substantially similar articles, wherein the articles are held together by at least one packaging blank (). A main surface of the packaging blank () is applied to first end faces of an article grouping (), forming a connection between the articles and primary fixing element of the packaging blank (). The primary fixing element fixes the positions of the articles relative to one another. The side surfaces () of the packaging blank () are subsequently folded over, wherein secondary fixing element interacts with the shell surfaces of the articles. The secondary fixing elements are formed by strapping sections, which surround the article grouping () and fixes the articles in a substantially parallel alignment to one another. The invention also relates to a packaging device for carrying out the method.

Packaging device, packaging unit, and method for producing packaging units

Provided is a method for packaging piece good groupings, in which a plurality of piece goods, particularly containers, are at least partially interconnected by a first connector, wherein at least two-piece goods of this plurality are directly interconnected by the connector. According to the embodiment, this plurality of piece goods connected by the connector is packaged with a second connector in the form of a second wrapping element, and said plurality of piece goods connected by a first connector is conveyed by a conveyor device to a packaging device and enclosed, particularly wrapped, with the second wrapping element by said packaging unit.

Method and device for forming container groupings

Disclosed is a method and an apparatus for supplying, staging, and/or handling, and/or for replacing rolls () with flat material and/or film material wound thereonto and serving as packaging material () for packaging piece goods, bundles, or the like sets of articles. Depleted rolls () are removed from at least one installation position (EB, EB) of a packaging machine (), and new rolls () are mounted into the particular installation position (EB, EB), with new rolls () being staged to the packaging machine () in a specified feeder device. Each of the installation positions (EB, EB) of the packaging machine () includes at least one rotatable receiving mandrel () for the rotatable reception and holding of the rolls (). The at least one receiving mandrel () is shiftable in its axial direction upon removing a depleted roll () and/or upon mounting of a new roll ().

Method and apparatus for supplying, staging and for replacing rolls with flat material and/or film material wound thereonto

The present invention includes a method and an apparatus () for handling flat material and/or film material wound onto rolls () and that serves as packaging material. Rolls (), which are at least partially unwound, are alternately removed from at least one installation position (EB; EB) of a packaging machine (), and in each case a new roll () of flat material and/or film material is mounted in the particular installation position (EB; EB). After each mounting, an externally arranged layer () is extracted from the particular new roll () near or in the area of its free end and is attached to a section of a material web being guided in the packaging machine (). The direction of rotation and/or rotation-direction-conforming orientation of the new roll () is determined and/or verified by means of a capture device.

Method and device for handling flat and/or film material wound onto reels

The disclosed supply roll () comprises a roll core (); flat material and/or strip material () being carried on the roll core () in a multitude of windings; and at least one functional marker (). The at least one functional marker () is placed in a specified relative position at an externally arranged free end section () of the flat material and/or strip material () such that information about the relative position of the free end section () is optically identifiable by way of the at least one functional marker ().

The present invention includes a method and an apparatus () for handling flat material and/or film material wound onto rolls () and that serves as packaging material for the packaging of piece goods, bundles, or the like sets of articles. The invention relates to device, method and packaging facility having a transport section () for feeding article arrangements () in a transport direction (TR) to a packaging module (). The transport section () comprises a transfer plate (), on which the articles () of the article arrangements () are movable in a sliding manner. Located above the transfer plate () are pushing devices () for moving the articles () on the transfer plate (), with the pushing devices () being movable in transport direction (TR) at least in some areas. The present invention relates to a machine () for processing and/or packaging objects, said machine having an essentially horizontal conveying section () for conveying articles, packages, and/or packaging units, which conveying section () comprises a first horizontal conveying device () with at least one conveying means () for a first operating mode, which horizontal conveying device () can be replaced by a further horizontal conveying device () with at least one second conveying means () that is different from the first conveying means () in order to establish at least one further operating mode. The invention also relates to a method for modifying a conveying section () of a machine () for processing and/or packaging objects, wherein articles, packages, and/or packaging units are conveyed essentially horizontally on the conveying section () by means of a first horizontal conveying device () with at least one conveying means () in a first operating mode, and wherein at least one further operating mode is established by replacing the first horizontal conveying device () with a further horizontal conveying device () comprising at least one second conveying means () which is different from the first conveying means ().

Machine for processing and/or packaging objects and method for modifying a conveying section of this machine

The invention comprises a method and a device for changing removable carrier units (') with flat packaging material () wound on supply rolls (), in particular, packaging film () within a packaging machine (), which is equipped with devices for at least partially wrapping piece goods, containers, article groups, etc., with flat packaging material (). With the method removable carrier units () with new supply rolls () are fed in a series one after the other to a work area (AB) of a handling device (), the work area (AB) of which extends into at least one position of the operating position of the removable carrier unit (&#x2032;) arranged in the packaging machine (), which is equipped with a supply roll (), so that it replaces removable carrier units (&#x2032;) located in the packaging machine () and used up supply rolls (&#x2032;) with new removable carrier units () with in each case a new supply roll (). Here respective removable carrier units () are inserted alternately in at least two different installation positions of the packaging machine () and its flat packaging material () is connected with the packaging material still located in the packaging machine ().

Method and a device for changing carrier units with flat packaging material wound on supply rolls within a packaging machine

An apparatus for packaging articles in a box blank which has folding lines and also side flaps and/or lid flaps and/or base flaps. The apparatus includes a device for feeding a stream of articles, a device for dividing up the articles into groups and/or assemblies of articles, a device for feeding individual box blanks to the groups of articles and/or for combining the groups of articles and the box blanks, and a device for forming a box and for folding in the side flaps by folding-in elements, which rotate about an axis which is more or less perpendicular to the conveying plane and/or conveying direction of the box blanks. The folding-in elements each have at least one pair of folding-in devices, which can be moved in a common plane and which can be moved and/or controlled and regulated independently of one another. A method and a folding element is also provided.
