A washer fluid pump () for a windshield washer system () of a motor vehicle has ventilation ducts (') which are arranged in a housing () parallel to the longitudinal axis. The ventilation ducts (&#x2032;) open out behind bulkheads () which are likewise arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis. The bulkheads () bridge a constriction (), which is arranged between an electric motor () and a pump stage (), of the housing (). In this way, the electric motor () is reliably protected against spray water. The washer fluid pump () can also be produced in a particularly cost-effective manner.

In the case of a window cleaning system for a motor vehicle, a washing fluid line () is manufactured integrally with plug-type coupling parts (). Movable components and a sealing ring () are arranged on bushing-type coupling parts (). The bushing-type coupling parts () are arranged on a washing fluid pump (), on washing nozzles () and on a T connector (). By this means, the window cleaning system is constructed in a particularly simple manner and can be manufactured cost-effectively.

In a fuel delivery unit for a motor vehicle, having a delivery pump which has a preliminary stage and a main stage, an outlet channel of the preliminary stage is guided radially outward and configured such that it rises upward. An inlet channel of the main stage is guided laterally past the preliminary stage. In accordance with this design, impellers of the delivery pump can be arranged particularly low down and gas bubbles are guided away out of the preliminary stage in a very simple manner.

A fuel pump is developed as a side-channel pump with two conveyor chambers for the conveying of a liquid to an outlet channel, and has two inlet channels arranged one behind the other seen in the direction of flow. One of the inlet channels debouches into a radially inwardly arranged partial-ring-shaped channel, while the other inlet channel is connected to a radially outwardly arranged partial-ring-shaped channel. In this way, the pressure within the liquid to be conveyed is increased stepwise and, thus, gas bubbles produced by a vaporization of the liquid are avoided.

An instrument system having at least one instrument disposed in a housing (1) the housing is to be mounted detachably on a support (3) and a user is to set a coding for each system module comprising instrument and support. Grooves (23 or 27) are provided in the support (3) for taking up coding pins (31). In the assembled state the grooves (23) of the support form groove pairs with the grooves (27). The inner spaces of the grooves of a groove pair together form an interstice for accommodating just one coding pin (31). This is fixed in either the groove (27) or in the groove (23). In this way the assignment of a housing (1) to a support (3) is established through the positions of the coding pins (31).
