The invention relates to a method for operating an electric machine (), and to a control device () that is configured to carry out the method. The method comprises a normal mode (&#x3c8;) and a special mode (&#x3c8;) in dependence on a preset target value (M), wherein the normal mode (&#x3c8;) comprises the steps of detecting an operating state, wherein, in the event that the detected operating state is a special state, the special mode (&#x3c8;) is carried out. The special mode (&#x3c8;) comprises the steps of modulating a cyclic value (M) on the present target value (M) and detecting the operating state, wherein, in the event that the operating state is a normal state, the normal mode (&#x3c8;) is carried out.

Method for operating an electric machine

A connector for electrical supply of a unit of the hydraulics which can be arranged or is arranged at a casing of such unit. Thereby at least one current path penetrates a connector bottom of the connector and the connector bottom is sealed with a silicone-containing compound against penetrating moisture in an area of this passage. The compound is an adhesive having high adhesive forces. A casing of a unit of the hydraulics can include such connector. A method of sealing a connector bottom of a connector penetrated by a current path is disclosed via which connector a unit of the hydraulics is adapted to be electrically supplied, the method includes a step of sealing a passage of the current path through the connector bottom with silicone-containing adhesive.

A method is proposed for controlling an internal combustion engine having a crankshaft, in which from the angular pulses of a sensor a pulse time is formed that is a measure for the rotation of the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine per time unit. At a predetermined target angle of the crankshaft, an ignition of a spark plug and an injection of fuel are to take place. A charging of an ignition coil before the ignition and the injection each require a predetermined time duration. The charging of the ignition coil and the injection are each started before the target angle at a start time dependent on the crankshaft, the start times being calculated by taking into account the time duration of the charging and of the portion of the injection before the target angle, and the pulse time, and the pulse counter. The same pulse time is used for the calculation of the start times of the charging of the ignition coil and of the injection.

The invention relates to a method for operating an internal combustion engine, especially for motor vehicles, the engine having a catalytic converter; in the method, for heating up the catalytic converter, there is a switchover between a homogeneous operating mode with a one-time injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of the engine and an operating mode with subdivided injection of fuel at at least two injection time points into the combustion chamber of the engine; wherein, for subdivided injections, both injection time points lie ahead of an ignition of an air/fuel mixture, the first injection time point essentially corresponds to the injection time point of the homogeneous operating mode during the switchover operation from the homogeneous operating mode to the operating mode with subdivided injection, and the second injection time point of the subdivided injection takes place at first so early that the mixture arising during operation with subdivided injection corresponds approximately to a homogeneous mixture and, after the completed switchover, the second injection time point is shifted toward late until a pregiven mixture preparation is present and, for a switchover from the operating mode with the subdivided injection to the homogeneous operating mode, the shift of the second injection time point takes place in the opposite direction. Furthermore, the invention relates to a computer program which is suitable to carry out the method when the method is carried out on a computer.

Method for operating an internal combustion engine especially for motor vehicles

An internal combustion engine () is operated by a method wherein the fuel is supplied via a magnetic valve () having a coil (). The injected fuel quantity is influenced by the duration of the drive of the magnetic valve (). In the method, the temperature (evtmod) of a region () of the magnetic valve () is determined and the drive duration is corrected in dependence upon temperature. In order to make the correction still more precise, a temperature (evtmod) of the magnetic valve () is determined from at least one usually measured temperature (tans, tmot) and the drive duration (ti_tvu_w) is so corrected (tvsp_w) that the temperature dependency of the characteristics of the magnetic coil () of the magnetic valve () is considered. Furthermore, a model is suggested in which (starting from an operating temperature) the temperature trace is simulated after shut-off of the engine and/or for the restart of the engine by means of two factors for the warmup and cool down.
