A method for producing a model for the application of radiation to a body surface area of a living being for cosmetic or therapeutic purposes is provided. The method includes defining a body surface area to which radiation shall be applied; producing a model having at least one surface which has the inverted shape of the defined body surface area, so that the model is configured to fit on the defined body surface area; and providing a radioactive isotope to the model during its production or after its production. Further, the use of the model in a cosmetic treatment of the skin is provided. The model, for cosmetic or therapeutic purposes, includes a surface which has the inverted shape of a defined body surface area which shall be treated with radiation.

Model for applying radiation, method for producing the same, and use thereof

Provided is a process of producing activated particles comprisingRe-isotopes and/orRe-isotopes by irradiating non-volatile and water-insoluble starting particles comprising a rhenium compound with neutrons. Further provided is a process of producing corresponding non-volatile and water-insoluble starting particles. Further provided are respective starting particles and activated particles, respectively, and a composition comprising a plurality of activated particles. The activated particles, and the composition comprising same are suitable for use in radionuclide therapy, and for cosmetic applications.

An image generating apparatus for image generation is provided. The image generating apparatus includes a movable detector for detecting nuclear radiation during a detection period and an evaluation system. The evaluation system includes an interface system for transmitting detector data to the evaluation system. The detector data include information about the detected radiation for image generation. The evaluation system further includes a data memory portion for storing the detector data. The evaluation system further includes a program memory portion with a program for repeatedly determining at least one quality value with respect to image generation during the detection period.

Image formation apparatus and method for nuclear imaging

A system for endoscopic nuclear imaging, a nuclear probe and related methods are provided. In one embodiment, a system includes a movable endoscopic nuclear probe which comprises a collimator and a detector, the endoscopic nuclear probe having an elongated body with a longitudinal axis (X), wherein the detector and the collimator are arranged on the elongated body, and the collimator having a field of view with an axis (Y) and the axis (Y) is angled with respect to the axis (X) of the elongated body of the endoscopic nuclear probe; means for determining the position and orientation of the elongated body of the endoscopic nuclear probe; an evaluation unit including means for computationally determining an actual position and actual orientation of the elongated body of the endoscopic nuclear probe; and a program storage section and means for computing at least one quality parameter of the image.

Apparatus and method for nuclear imaging

A nuclear image system for updating an original nuclear image, the nuclear image system comprising: a data memory for storing the original three-dimensional nuclear image; a nuclear radiation detector, which is movable along a freely variable path, for measuring nuclear radiation, in order to obtain nuclear radiation values; a tracking system for tracking the nuclear radiation detector while measuring the nuclear radiation, so that detector coordinates are obtained which indicate a posture of the tracked nuclear radiation detector in relation to an image coordinate system of the nuclear image; a nuclear data input configured to receive the nuclear radiation values from the nuclear radiation detector and the detector coordinates from the tracking system, and to associate the nuclear radiation values with the respective detector coordinates; and an image updating module including an updating rule for changing the original nuclear image on the basis of the nuclear radiation values and the detector coordinates, wherein the image updating module is configured to generate an updated three-dimensional nuclear image by applying the updating rule to the original nuclear image.

Nuclear image system and method for updating an original nuclear image

A device for combined optical and nuclear image comprises a nuclear image acquisition module and a reference image acquisition module. The reference image acquisition module has: an optical image sensor; and an optical imaging system for deflecting the optical radiation from a reference field of view to the image sensor, wherein the optical imaging system comprises a mirror for the optical radiation, which mirror is arranged between the reference field of view and the optical image sensor. On the image sensor, a respective image area assigned to at least one of nuclear partial fields of view. The optical imaging system is arranged such that the optical radiation coming from the at least one nuclear partial field of view is deflected substantially exactly to the respectively assigned of the image areas.
