A sheet metal processing plant includes a conveyor defining a receiving surface for a workpiece and a conveying direction in a conveying plane and being embodied for conveying the workpiece, the workpiece having a bottom side and a top side, and a turning unit embodied for turning the workpiece received on the receiving surface from the bottom side to the top side. The turning unit includes a manipulator embodied to lift the bottom side of the workpiece off the receiving surface, to perform a turning operation of the workpiece and to place the top side of the workpiece on the receiving surface of the conveyor.

Device and method for turning metal sheets

A forming operation on a workpiece clamps the workpiece between a first clamping jaw with a first shaping edge, and an adjustable second clamping jaw with a second shaping edge so that a portion projects between the shaping edges and afterwards a bending edge of an adjustable bending bar is guided at a distance past the shaping edges, whereby the portion of the workpiece is angled away in relation to the part of the workpiece that is clamped between the clamping jaws. The bending edge is guided on angling along a straight path of movement of the bending edge, and after the bending edge has passed the shaping edges, the shaping edges are adjusted along an adjustment path which approaches the path of movement of the bending edge.

Bending press and bending method

The invention relates to a bending machine () for metal sheets (). The bending machine () comprises a machine frame () and a support device () which is designed to hold the metal sheet () to be bent, a support surface () of the support device () being arranged in a horizontal plane with the support surface () of a clamping base (). The support device () has at least a first support module () and a second support module () having a first support surface () and a second support surface (). At least one of the support modules () is horizontally displaceable in the longitudinal direction () of the bending machine () and as a result a first gap () extending at right angles to the blank-holder edge () can be set between the two support modules (). The support modules () each have at least a first support element () and a second support element () with a second gap () located between the support elements (), which second gap () is oriented parallel to the blank-holder edge ().

Supporting table for bending machine

The invention relates to a bending press () and to a method for bending sheet metal in relation to a work piece (). The bending press () comprises a machine frame () on which lower and upper clamping jaws () are arranged, having first and second reshaping edges. A bending tool () having a bending edge () is arranged on a bending bar (). The bending tool () is mounted about a swivel axis () such that same can swivel. The swivel axis () can be moved into both a position above and a position below a work piece contact plane (). In a position above the work piece contact plane (), the bending edge () is oriented down-wards in the direction of a first reshaping edge, and in a position below the work piece contact plane (), said bending edge is oriented upwards in the direction of the second reshaping edge. The invention also relates to a method for reshaping, in particular bending, sheet metal in relation to a work piece ().

Bending press having bending unit, and reshaping method

The invention relates to a bending press () for carrying out a forming operation on a workpiece (), comprising a first clamping beam (), which has a first clamping jaw () with a first forming edge (), and an adjustable second clamping beam (), which has a second clamping jaw () with a second forming edge (), and also at least one bending beam (), which is adjustable in relation to the machine frame () along a bending beam guide () and has at least one bending edge (), the path of movement () of which passes by the forming edges () at a distance () and with which a portion () of the workpiece () can be angled away in relation to the part of the workpiece () that is clamped between the clamping jaws (). In this case, the bending beam guide () is designed as a linear guide () and produces a straight path of movement () of the bending edge (), and the forming edges () of the two clamping jaws () can be made to approach the path of movement () of the bending edge () by means of a transverse guide () and an adjusting drive ().

The invention relates to a bending machine () for bending a sheet metal workpiece (), comprising at least three bending punches () which respectively have working edges () which are aligned parallel with one another. Relative to an initial plane () in which a bend section () to be made in the sheet metal workpiece () lies, the first and the second bending punch () are positioned on one side and the third bending punch () is positioned on the opposite side of the initial plane (). The working edge () of the third bending punch () is displaceable between the working edges () of the first and second bending punches (). The third bending punch () has at least one rotary and one translatory degree of freedom in a reference plane oriented at a right, angle to a working edge (). The second bending punch () has three degrees of freedom in the reference plane ().

Bending machine and method for bending a sheet metal workpiece

The invention relates to a production plant (), in particular for folding workpieces () to be produced from sheet metal, comprising a bending press (), in particular a press brake, having a press beam (), at least one bending tool (), such as a bending punch () and bending die (), which is connected to the press beam (), and at least one angle-measuring device () for determining an angular position of at least one limb () of the workpiece () formed by a bending operation relative to a reference plane (). The angle-measuring device () comprises at least one inclination sensor () having a reference surface () and the inclination sensor () is mounted by the angle-measuring device () so that it can be placed with the reference surface () lying in contact with a surface portion of at least one of the limbs () of the workpiece ().

Bending press having an angle-measuring device and method for determining the bending angle

The invention relates to a bending machine () for bending sheet metal workpieces (), for example a press brake or a folding machine, comprising at least one tool carrier (), wherein a plurality of tool parts () that can be moved along a horizontal tool receptacle () are arranged on at least one tool carrier (), at least one adjusting device () for moving the tool parts (), and coupling devices () associated with the tool parts (), each for connecting a respective tool part () to the adjusting device (). Furthermore, according to the invention the adjusting device () may comprise a threaded spindle () extending parallel to the tool receptacle () and each coupling device () may comprise a spindle nut segment (), wherein the spindle nut segment () can be coupled to the tool part () or to the threaded spindle ().

Bending tool system

The invention relates to a rear stop unit () with a stop and/or gripping and/or measuring element () for positioning a sheet () to be machined on a bending press. The stop and/or gripping and/or measuring element () is arranged on an adjustable bearing arm () by means of a pivot joint (). The bearing arm () is connected to a guide rail () by means of an additional pivot joint () via a guide element (). The rear stop unit () further comprises a support arm () which is connected to the bearing arm () via a joint () and to an additional guide element () via a rigid connection, and the support arm is connected to the guide rail () via the additional guide element. Furthermore, the joint () is designed as a rotational/prismatic joint. The position of the bearing arm () can thereby be adjusted by moving the support arm () in a linear manner along a guide direction () specified by the guide rail ().

Rear stop device for a bending machine

The invention relates to a machine controller comprising a sensor module (), an evaluation module () and a control module (), and the sensor module () has a convertor which converts a mechanical variable acting on the sensor module () into a proportional electric characteristic variable, and the evaluation module () is connected via a first signal connection () to the sensor module () and via a second signal connection () to the control module (). The evaluation module () generates a signal profile from the detected electric signal by means of an analysis of potential and/or change, which is compared with at least one reference signal profile stored in a memory means of the evaluation module () by means of a comparison module of the evaluation module (), from which the control signal is generated. Furthermore, at least one of the two signal connections () is based on a wireless design.
