A device including a hub portion, said hub portion including an opening with spring-loaded electrical contacts slidably disposed in said opening, a light rail an extended portion and a power contact disposed on the extended portion, wherein the light rail is operable to slide into the opening and couple the power contact to the spring-loaded contact. The extended portion may include an o-ring for fixing the light rail and the hub may have a cable for mounting and coupling power to the spring-loaded electrical contact. Some embodiments may have a second opening in said hub portion, and a second end for the light rail. Power may be coupled through the light rail to hubs on each end.

Luminaire mounting system

A fixture having a cylindrical body, said body having an internal cavity extending from a first end to a second end, and said body having an exterior threaded portion, a flange affixed to the first end of the body, a portion of said flange extending past the circumference of the cylindrical body, said flange formed for receiving an electrical component, and a fastener complementary to the threaded portion, wherein the fastener and the flange are operable to secure the cylindrical body to a structure. An electrical component such as a luminaire, a switch or an electrical receptacle may be mounted into the flange portion of the fixture. A retainer may also be employed to distribute the load on the cylindrical body when positioned over the body and secured by the fastener.

Fixture support system and method

A device comprising a solid state or mechanical switch coupled to a first connector and a second connector and at least one lighting device such as an LED light source wherein when power is applied to the first connector, the switch is operable to direct power to the lighting device and to a portion of the pins of the second connector. By constructing the connectors as similar, but with opposite genders, the connectors can be disposed on a circuit assembly to allow for daisy chaining a series of luminaire assemblies together. The connectors may be Ethernet connectors and the switch may be operable through control signals coupled to the Ethernet connector such that a smart power controller operating using power over Ethernet (POE) can operate to control the light sources.

Luminaire system and method

A luminaire comprising a first hub comprising a first fixed portion rotatably coupled to a first rotor portion, said hub having an internal chamber, accessible through openings on the first fixed portion and the first rotor portion; a first lamp socket coupled to the first rotor portion of the first hub; a light rail affixed to the first rotor portion, said light rail having a bore the length of the light rail; a second hub comprising a second fixed portion rotatably coupled to a second rotor portion; and a second lamp socket coupled to the second rotor portion of the second hub, wherein a first set of one or more power wires is coupled to the first lamp socket, wherein a second set of power wires is disposed in the opening on the first fixed portion and further into the bore and is coupled to the second socket.

A fixture holder comprising a plate having one or more mounting holes; a base support having a threaded through hole, said base support affixed to a first side of the plate by a threaded ferrule, said ferrule passing through the plate and being affixed to the plate by a fastener on a second side of the plate; said base support having one or more armatures extending perpendicular to the plate and proximately located peripherally about the threaded through hole such that the threaded through hole is not obstructed; and a conduit connector affixed to the threaded ferrule, for providing a connection to an electrical conduit, wherein said armature has at least one female threaded hole disposed thereon and the plate, base support and conduit connector form a lumen through the fixture holder.

Support for luminaire

A luminaire having a hub assembly comprising the following: a socket for holding a lamp, a socket holder fixedly coupled to the socket, said socket holder having a hollow raised threaded portion extending away from the socket; a housing for enclosing the socket and the socket holder, said housing having a through a first opening for allowing the threaded portion to extend into the housing and at least one second opening to allow for one or more electrical wires connected to the socket; a spring washer and a nut; a pin slidably affixed to the socket holder; at least one extended member; and at least one hollow support member providing for the extended members to fit inside the support member, wherein the socket holder is rotatably coupled to the housing such that the socket holder is adjustable relative to the housing.
