A selectively engageable variable flow rate sink strainer which is selectively engageable by several complimentary and individually engageable components, and is especially adapted to providing strainer stopper and chemical functions to kitchen sinks and typical kitchen sink drains. Embodiments include ones which are variable between a maximum and minimum flow rate, the minimum rate being selectively adjustable to approximately zero, comprising a relatively alignable strainer and drain body and droppably removable and sealable strainer and an independently straining drain body and providing for chemical elements outside of a liquid soak volume and at the site of engagement of strainer and drain body.

In a floor drain assembly of the type including a floor drain having a collar surrounding a drainage opening installed in a recess in a floor, an improvement is provided. The improvement includes a skirt extending about the collar and secured to the collar by a fastener extending through the skirt and into the collar but not into the floor. The skirt defines an opening sized to receive a treatment material therein. A lid is configured for selectively engaging with the opening for allowing selective placement of treatment material in an area beneath the skirt.

Device for use with floor drains

A device configured for being received within a floor drain is provided. The device includes a basket assembly containing a liquid-soluble treatment material therein. A drain cover defines an opening that receives the basket assembly. A basket assembly lid defines at least one aperture for allowing flow of liquid into the basket assembly, the basket assembly includes a flange for cooperatively engaging a recess defined in the drain cover to thereby engage the lid with the drain cover.

An aromatic drain device comprising a perforate retaining device defining a volume for retaining an aromatic media therein, the retaining device releasably secured to a removable drain cover and positioned to extend below the drain cover into the cavity defined by the floor drain wall.
