A wireless network, which includes a wireless router client operable to broadcast data packets to at least one wireless server and one additional wireless client. Each client and server includes programs for determining optimum routes between them. The client also includes a program for determining if a received data packet is not addressed to it and if the packet has been sent via a new optimal route unknown to the client, and for notifying the respective server of such a new optimal route.

Wireless network system and method for providing same

The present invention is a method for improving resource allocation comprising the steps of identifying at least one criteria; Identifying sets of information wherein each set of information includes a unique unit of analysis (UOA-ID), a calendar/clock time (CCT), a CATVAR and a VAR Value; grouping each UOA-ID into an appropriate specific population (Type); identifying a Start Time wherein each UOA-ID has met said at least one criteria; forming at least one prospective or retrospective Cohort time segment for each UOA-ID based on their Start Time; placing the UOA-ID into the appropriate time segment; calculating an eligibility score for each UOA-ID for each time segment; calculating an Eligible Adjusted Variable Value; and generating at least one Output Expression.

Method and system for analyzing resource allocation based on cohort times

Method and system for optimizing resource allocation based on cohort times

A guiding device and method to provide information about a path traveled by a user. The device features a cane having a magnet mounted on a distal end. The magnet is attracted to a magnetic pathway formed on a walking surface by a buried cable or applied surface. Nodes positioned at points or intersections along the magnetic path have magnetic switches triggering a broadcast of additional information to the user concerning the magnetic path at the triggered node and along any divergent magnetic paths extending from the node. The device and method can be used to aid visually impaired and even sighted people around areas of residence such as homes and hotels, and public places such as airports and zoos.

Magnetically activated guiding device and method

A wireless network system includes a server having a server controller and a server radio modem, and a number of clients each including a client controller and a client radio modem. The server controller implements a server process that includes the receipt and the transmission of data packets via the radio modem. The client controllers of each of the clients implements a client process that includes the receipt and transmission of data packets via the client radio modem. The client process of each of the clients initiates, selects, and maintains a radio transmission path to the server that is either a direct path to the server, or is an indirect path or &ldquo;link&rdquo; to the server through at least one of the remainder of the clients. A method for providing wireless network communication includes providing a server implementing a server process including receiving data packets via a radio modem, sending data packets via the server radio modem, communicating with the network, and performing housekeeping functions, and further includes providing a number of clients, each implementing a client process sending and receiving data packets via a client radio modem, maintaining a send/receive data buffer, and selecting a radio transmission path to the server. The radio transmission path or &ldquo;link&rdquo; is either a direct path to the server, or an indirect path to the server through at least one of the remainder of the clients. The process preferably optimizes the link to minimize the number of &ldquo;hops&rdquo; to the server.

A vapor recovery system for use with fuel dispensing nozzles. The system includes a fuel dispensing nozzle and a vapor piping line operably connected to the nozzle for insertion into a tank for receiving fuel. The line has a small diameter with respect to the diameter of the fuel dispensing hose supplying fuel to the nozzle. A sump is connected to the other end of the line and has a source of vacuum for positively assisting flow of vapor through the line. The sump includes a filter for separating fuel from the vapor to produce vapor clean air. It also has both a vent for venting the vapor clean air and a drain for removing the separated fuel. The system preferably further includes a vacuum regulator means for regulating the vacuum in the vapor piping line by controlling the vacuum at about 1 to about 5 inches of mercury in the line.

Gas pump vapor recovery system

A headless form tie rod and associated fastener that contacts the form tie at two spaced points. The tie rod provides a cylindrical body with plural spaced areas protruding in one dimension and flattened in the other dimension. The principal fastening structure provides a wedge type device that releasably fastens the rod in a form structure at two spaced points. A species of fastener provides releasable fastening by means of a pivotable lever. Spacing washers releasably positionable on the form ties maintain forms in spaced relationship.
