A ceiling hook (H) comprises a fastener (F) for anchoring in a support structure, and a locking ring in the form of an anti-rotation washer (W). The washer (W) includes anchoring teeth ( ) for stationarily mounting the washer (W) to the ceiling. The hook member ( ) and the washer (W) comprise co-operating locking ratchet elements ( ) for locking the fastener (F) to the washer (W) and thus preventing the fastener (F) from loosening from the ceiling. The washer (W) defines at a central opening ( ) thereof at least one notch ( ) with the fastener (F) defining at least one tab with ( ), the notch ( ) being slidable through the tab ( ) for mounting the washer (W) to the fastener (F) and then allowing it to rotate between the tab ( ) and the book member ( ), whereby the washer (W) is prevented from being removed from the fastener (F) unless the tab ( ) and notch ( ) are aligned.

Threaded ceiling hook with anti rotation washer

A wall anchor assembly has a pair of posts extending from a collar. The collar has an opening for passing a part of a bolt. Distal from the collar, the posts are connected by a connector. An anchor member is captive between the posts and between the collar and the connector. The assembly has a penetrating configuration in which the anchor axis is substantially parallel to the assembly axis, and the anchor body portion and posts form a body portion. A tongue protrudes from an inside surface of a post and engages a groove on the anchor member in the penetrating configuration with the longitudinal anchor axis substantially parallel to the assembly axis, and transmits axial rotation from the collar to the anchor member. The bolt engages a hole in the anchor to draw the anchor member against the wall to clamp the anchor assembly to the wall.

An outwardly threaded, hollow cylindrical wall anchor with a flange at its proximal end and a cutter at its distal end and a workpiece having an aperture through which the anchor is threaded while the anchor is inserted in a wall or the like.

Anchor insert improvement

A self centering and drilling wall anchor having an outwardly threaded cylindrical body with a flanged proximal end and a cutting distal end. The distal end has a pointed tip at the long axis of said anchor and is formed with a flute extending from the pointed tip to and communicating with a through bore in the cylindrical body. The flute is defined at its outer edges by a leading cutting edge and a trailing edge, with the leading cutting edge extending radially and proximally from the pointed tip in a plane in common with the axis of the anchor and diverging from the trailing edge to provide access to the flute and the through bore for receiving material cut from the wall by the leading cutting edge.

Anchor insert

An anchor, for inserting into a wall structure, having a cylindrical body, a flanged end, a cutting end and a through bore adapted to receive a support fastener. The outer surface of the body is threaded. The cutting end comprising a single cutter extending distally from the periphery of the through bore at the cutting end. Access of the cut material to the through bore as the cutting end of the anchor is inserted into the wall and rotated as provided by the entry end of the anchor, the periphery of which, extends in a spiral path.

An anchor for insertion in wall board and having a cylindrical body with an outer thread and an axial passage and a flanged proximal end and a saw-tipped distal end. The flange at the proximal end may be formed as a hook and the saw-tipped end is provided with access areas about the rim of the distal end adjacent the leading and trailing edges of the saw tooth or teeth.

Saw tipped anchor insert

A wall anchor for insertion in wall board and having a cylindrical body with an outer thread and an axial through passage extending from a flanged proximal end to a saw-tipped distal end. The cylindrical body comprises a proximal extension and a distal extension of approximately the same length equal to the width of wall board. The flange at the proximal end may be provided with locking tabs and the saw-tipped end may be provided with mashing teeth on a circumference of revolution smaller than that of the sawing teeth.
