The disclosure relates to gene expression modulation elements from plants and their use in modulating the expression of one or more heterologous nucleic acid fragments in plants. The disclosure further discloses compositions, polynucleotide constructs, transformed host cells, plants and seeds containing the expression modulating elements, and methods for preparing and using the same.

Expression modulating elements and use thereof

This disclosure concerns compositions and methods for identifying the SCN resistant phenotype in soybean. In some embodiments, the disclosure concerns methods for performing marker-assisted breeding and selection of plants carrying one or more determinants of SCN resistance in soybean.

This invention relates in part to detecting herbicide tolerant plants-more specifically, an aad-1 transformation event in corn plants. The subject invention also provides assays for detecting the presence of the subject event in a sample (of corn grain, for example). In some embodiments, this event/polynucleotide sequence can be 'stacked' with other traits. Plants and plant tissue bred to contain, or transformed with, the mutant polynucleotides, and expressing the polypeptides encoded by the polynucleotides, are also contemplated by the present invention. The subject invention also concerns methods for isolating polynucleotides and polypeptides contemplated within the scope of the invention. Methods for increasing yield in plants grown under conditions of heat stress are also provided.
