Disclosed is a demountable wheel suitable for use on toy vehicles. The demountable wheel includes a first member that is rotatably mounted in a permanent or semi-permanent arrangement on an axle. The wheel has a second member including a tire which is demountably supported on the first member.

Mountable wheel for toy vehicle

A wheel suitable for use on toy vehicles. The wheel has a tire which is mountable and demountable with respect to such toy vehicle. The wheel includes a first member that is rotatably mounted in a permanent or semi-permanent arrangement on an axle. The wheel has a second member including a tire which is demountably supported on the first member. The first member has a locking mechanism which cooperates with a portion of the second member to prevent unintended rotation of the first member with respect to the second member.

In a miniature toy vehicle a chassis extending in a fore and aft direction relative to the intended direction of travel, said chassis having a pair of transversely aligned downwardly opening notches and a hook member depending from the chassis between the notches and adapted to retain a wheel holding axle in said notches, said hook member being of flexible material and having a beveled bottom face allowing the axle to be forced upwardly into the notches and over the hook member.

Wheel mounting for toy vehicles

A miniature toy fork lift vehicle having a body supported on ground wheels, an upright frame mounted on the front portion of the body and having a pair of upright parallel guide rails spaced transversely of the vehicle, a lift fork including a carrier mounted on the guide rails for vertical sliding movement, an upright screw member disposed between the guide rails and journaled in the upright frame and having a threaded portion in threaded engagement with the carrier to raise and lower the lift fork as the screw is turned. The guide rails form a roll cage over an operator's station. The lift fork may be pivoted to an inactive position to reduce the vehicle length for packaging or storage.

A connection for use in connecting a rigid sheet material part in a toy vehicle with a relatively more resilient part wherein the rigid part is provided with a round aperture and the resilient part has an expansion collar thereon which is somewhat greater in diameter than the aperture but which can be forced therethrough in a contracted condition, and a third member which is inserted axially into the collar to retain it in an expanded condition to prohibit its removal from the aperture.
