A differential pressure transducer with overload protection includes a measuring element body, two separating diaphragms, two overload diaphragms with radially variable material thickness h(r), a differential pressure transducer for converting a pressure difference into an electrical signal, and two hydraulic paths. The overload diaphragms are connected to the measuring element body to form overload chambers and the separating diaphragms are connected to the measuring element body to form separating diaphragm chambers in which one of the overload diaphragms are enclosed. The separating diaphragm chambers are hydraulically connected to the overload chambers below the other separating diaphragm chamber and to the differential pressure transducer via one of the hydraulic paths, which extend at least in sections through the measuring element body. The overload diaphragms have a base surface, which faces a mating surface in an overload chamber against which the overload diaphragms are pre-stressed in the operative state at pressure equilibrium.

A differential pressure sensor for determining the differential pressure between two pressures includes a converter chamber including a differential pressure measuring cell, and a measuring unit including a main body and a coplanar double-membrane system with two double membranes, each including a separating membrane and an overload membrane with a pressure chamber between the separating membrane and the overload membrane and an additional pressure chamber between the overload membrane and the main body. Each pressure chamber and each additional pressure chamber is paired with at least one capillary connection such that in the event of an overpressure, the overpressure is hydraulically transmitted from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side via a hydraulic fluid such that the overload membrane and the separating membrane are deflected, and the hydraulic fluid displaced from the high-pressure side to the additional pressure chamber on the low-pressure side before the overpressure reaches the pressure-sensitive element.

A pressure measuring device includes a ceramic pressure sensor including a ceramic measuring membrane and a sensor mounting configured to secure the pressure sensor such that a membrane region of the measuring membrane surrounded by a membrane edge is contactable with a medium having a pressure to be measured. The sensor mounting includes a titanium or titanium alloy mounting element including an opening through which the membrane region is contactable with the medium. The membrane edge is connected directly with the mounting element by a diffusion weld produced by a diffusion welding method.

A corrosion protection element is described, with which in simple and cost effective manner a reliable corrosion protection of field devices can be provided, which field devices comprise at least one component of stainless steel in contact with an environment of the field device. Corrosion protection elements of the invention are distinguished by features including that they are embodied as sacrificial anodes comprising iron or rustable steel and have a form, which is embodied in such a manner that they can be applied to the component of the field device in such a manner that the sacrificial anode is in electrically conducting contact with the component.

The present disclosure discloses process seals having a form retaining core and a coating of a thermoplastic sealing material for pressure sensors. The process seals can be replaced in simple manner, especially essentially without loss of measurement accuracy. The process seals are characterized by features including that they are pre-aged in a pre-aging method performable in a reproducible manner and insertable in the pressure sensor as replaceable components, wherein the process seals were clamped during the pre-aging method in a clamping apparatus exerting a clamping force thereon, wherein the clamping apparatus has a clamping geometry surrounding the process seal clamped therein, which is essentially identical to the clamping geometry surrounding the process seal in the pressure sensor.

A pressure sensor for determining a pressure measurement variable includes a housing, a pressure sensor element arranged in the housing, a lighting means arranged in the housing and a control/evaluation unit, the pressure sensor element having a semiconductor material and a measuring membrane, which has at least one integrated resistance element. When the measuring membrane experiences a pressure dependent deflection, the control/evaluation unit ascertains using the integrated resistance element, an electrical signal for determining the pressure measurement variable, wherein the lighting means optically excites the integrated resistance element, and the control/evaluation unit ascertains, based on a change of the electrical signal caused by the optical excitation, whether a malfunction of the pressure sensor is present.

A differential pressure measuring cell comprises a measuring membrane; two opposing bodies; and one converter. The measuring membrane is arranged between the opposing bodies and is connected in a pressure-tight manner to the two opposing bodies, forming in each case one measuring chamber. The opposing bodies each have a pressure duct through which a pressure can be made to act upon the respective measuring chamber. The converter is provided in order to convert a deformation of the measuring membrane, which deformation is dependent upon a difference between the pressures, into an electrical signal; wherein the opposing bodies each have a chamber section oriented toward the measuring membrane and a rear wall section oriented away from the measuring membrane with, between these, a decoupling chamber. A differential pressure measuring pickup comprises a measuring pickup body and a differential pressure sensor. The measuring pickup body has a process interfacing surface with a first pressure input opening and a second pressure input opening. The differential pressure sensor can be loaded with a first pressure through the first pressure input opening and with a second pressure through the second pressure input opening. The first pressure input opening is closed by way of a first separating diaphragm and the second pressure input opening is closed by way of a second separating diaphragm.
