Abrasive greenware having improved strenght is prepared using a binder comprising poly(ethyloxazoline).

Binder for abrasive greenware

A thermoplastic laminate structure consisting of a plurality of layers wherein at least one of the layers is the adhesive polymeric blend. The adhesive polymeric blend comprises a dispersed phase of poly-2-oxazoline and a glycol and a continuous phase of grafted polypropylene. The preferred poly-2-oxazoline is poly-2-ethyl-2-oxazoline and the preferred glycols are polyalkylene glycols. The grafted polypropylene comprises from about 50 to 80 percent by weight of the total polymeric blend. The grafted polypropylene contains from about 0.1 to about 5 percent by weight total polymer of a graft portion derived from an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or an unsaturated cyclic anhydride wherein said glycol is in slight excess to the graft, i.e., molar ratio of glycol to graft is 1.1 to about 1.5:1.

Thermoplastic laminate tie layer using a polymeric blend adhesive

An imidazoline modified styrene-acrylonitrile polymer composition which is substantially insoluble in aqueous media at about pH 6 or more but swellable or soluble at pH 3 or less is employed as a coating for nutrient or therapeutic substances for administration to ruminants. The substances thus are rendered resistant to attack and breakdown in the rumen yet remain susceptible to release and digestion within the abomasum or small intestine of the animal.

Coated nutrients and medicaments for veterinary use

Photoconductive compositions containing aromatic sulfonyl fluorides are novel compositions which are useful in electrophotographic processes, such as xerography. E.g., an electrostatic copying paper is obtained by coating an electroconductive base paper with a composition comprising poly(N-vinylcarbazole) and 4,4'-biphenyldisulfonyl fluoride.
