A method for authenticating a first party to a second party, the method comprising: i) providing a token, wherein the token is at least a part of a mobile entity and wherein the token is coupled to a secret being indicative for the identity of the first party, ii) coupling the token with an access point by establishing a physical contact, iii) transferring the secret to the access point, iv) linking the secret with a location information of the access point, thereby providing an authentication token being indicative for the identity and the location of the first party, and v) providing the authentication token to the second party.

It is described a tamper detection device for detecting tampering with respect to a packaging, the device comprising: i) a first electrode comprising a first patterned structure, and ii) a second electrode comprising a second patterned structure. In accordance with a first aspect of the present disclosure, a method is conceived for enabling a biometric template in an authentication token, the method comprising: capturing, by a biometric sensor comprised in the authentication token, at least one biometric sample; creating, by a processing unit comprised in the authentication token, a biometric template from the at least one biometric sample and storing said biometric template in the authentication token; verifying, at a terminal device, said biometric template; verifying, by the terminal device, an identity of a user; enabling, by the terminal device, said biometric template if the biometric template and the identity of the user have been verified. Apparatus and method for measuring a capacitance, and a fingerprint sensor utilizing the same

In accordance with a first aspect of the present disclosure, a fingerprint sensing device is provided, comprising a plurality of sensor cells, wherein each sensor cell comprises: at least one sense plate and a discharge electrode insulated from the sense plate; a first discharge path for discharging a first static electricity charge to a first electric potential terminal; a second discharge path for discharging a second static electricity charge to a second electric potential terminal; a charge reservoir coupled between the first electric potential terminal and the second electric potential terminal.
