The invention relates to a system in a vehicle for assisting a driver of a vehicle when reversing, having at least one sensor unit which detects objects within the surroundings to the rear of the vehicle, having a computing unit which is connected to the sensor unit and has the purpose of processing the detected objects, and having an actuator unit which is connected to the computing unit. According to the invention, the computing unit generates a virtual driving tube within which the vehicle can move backward without colliding with the detected objects. The actuator unit is a steering actuator which is actuated by the computing unit and has the purpose of outputting haptic information which informs the driver of the vehicle about the steering direction, which is to be adopted next for reverse travel within the driving tube.

Reversing assistant

An arrangement has a computing unit which is connected to a memory unit, an operator control device and a display device. The computing unit displays, on the display device, a first operator control display which is read out from the memory unit and is composed of at least two display elements, evaluates an operator control operation which is performed by means of the operator control device, and reads out a second operator control display, assigned to the operator control operation, from the memory device. In order to improve the ability to perceive the relationship between the first and the second operator control displays, at least one of the display elements from the first operator control display is also contained in the second operator control display (), the at least one display element in the first operator control display differing from the second operator control display in at least one of its display properties. The computing unit performs a gradual transformation of the at least one display element from the first operator control display to the second operator control display and displays it.

Arrangement for controlling electronic devices, in particular in a vehicle

An operator control device for operating at least one electronic device in a motor vehicle contains a display panel for displaying at least one predefined operator control menu of the electronic device compiled of selectable operator control functions, a turn and press switch for selecting and setting one of the operator control functions and a first menu switch for calling a first user-specific operator control menu. The user-specific operator control menu can be compiled by a user on an individual basis according to his wishes from a subset of the selectable operator control functions and the subset of the selectable operator control functions is indicated graphically on the display panel.
