There is disclosed an aerosol-generation apparatus having a heater and a fluid-transfer article, the fluid-transfer article including a first region holding an aerosol precursor and transferring said aerosol precursor to an activation surface of a second region of said article, the activation surface being disposed at an end of the article configured for thermal interaction with a heating surface of the heater. The activation surface has at least one channel therein and is configured such that, when the fluid transfer article is arranged with respect to the heating surface for thermal interaction therebetween, the channel(s) opposes the heating surface and opens towards said heating surface. The heater has a substrate forming the heating surface and at least one heating element on a part of that heating surface. The channel(s) opposes a part of the heating surface other than part of the heating surface on which the heating element is formed.

Aerosol delivery system

The present disclosure relates to a smoking substitute device. The smoking substitute device comprises: an elongate main body, the main body having a body length in a longitudinal dimension that is greater than a body width in a transverse dimension. The main body includes a curved portion having a curved longitudinal axis along the longitudinal dimension. The curved longitudinal axis is fixed.

Smoking substitute device/system

An aerosol delivery device includes a first aerosol generator to generate a first aerosol from a first aerosol precursor and to introduce the first aerosol into a first fluid flow pathway, and a second aerosol generator to generate a second aerosol from a second aerosol precursor and to introduce the second aerosol into a second fluid flow pathway. The first aerosol is sized for pulmonary penetration. The second aerosol generator comprises a Venturi aperture to dispense and aerosolise the second aerosol precursor in the second aerosol generator. The second aerosol precursor is a liquid, and the second aerosol is sized to inhibit pulmonary penetration. The second aerosol is transmissible within a mammalian oral and/or nasal cavity. The second aerosol includes an active component for activating at least one of: one or more taste receptors in the oral cavity and one or more olfactory receptors in the nasal cavity.

A smoking substitute device having: a control unit; a battery configured to supply power to the smoking substitute device; a movement sensing component configured to sense movement of the smoking substitute device; and a battery level indicator configured to, when activated, provide an indication of charge remaining in the battery. The control unit is configured to activate the battery level indicator when a predetermined movement of the smoking substitute device is detected using the movement sensing component.

Smoking substitute device and system for managing a smoking substitute device

An aerosol delivery device comprises an aerosol-generation apparatus, including a heater and a fluid-transfer article. The fluid-transfer article has a reservoir for the holding an aerosol precursor, a wick arrangement to receive aerosol precursor from the reservoir, and a wick support element. The wick support element has at least one capillary bore therethrough. Hence, it allows aerosol precursor to pass from the reservoir to the wick in a capillary manner through the or each bore. Preferably, the heater makes abutting, unbonded contact with an activation surface of the wick soas to interact thermally therewith. This allows the heater to separable from the wick, for example, when the fluid-transfer article is separated from the rest of the device. This may be necessary when the aerosol precursor in the reservoir of the fluid transfer article has been consumed.

The present invention relates to a dispenser for dispensing a liquid, comprising: a reservoir for storing a liquid to be dispensed; a manually operative pump arrangement disposed at a first end region of the reservoir; a conduit extending from the pump arrangement to a second end region of the reservoir distal the first end region, the conduit configured for communicating reservoir contents from the second end region to the pump arrangement; a dispense conduit extending from the pump arrangement and comprising a dispense aperture at an end region thereof, the dispense aperture in liquid communication with the pump arrangement; and an open ended tube extending in a direction away from the pump arrangement and configured to surround the dispense conduit, wherein the open ended tube extends to a position such that the open end thereof is at least coterminous with an dispense aperture end of the dispense conduit and actuation of the pump arrangement causes transfer of reservoir contents from the reservoir to the dispense aperture end of the dispense conduit.
