A cooling system for a vehicle may include a cooling circuit through which a coolant is flowable. The cooling circuit may include a first heat source, a first radiator, a second heat source, a second radiator, and a hydraulic switch. The first heat source may be coolable at a lower temperature level. The second heat source may be coolable at a higher temperature level. The first heat source, the first radiator, the second heat source, and the second radiator may be connected in series with one another in the cooling circuit. The hydraulic switch may divide the cooling circuit into (i) a first partial circuit with the first heat source and the first radiator and (ii) a second partial circuit with the second heat source and the second radiator.

A cooler passivation process for a coolant cooler of a cooler device mounted in a motor vehicle A cooler device with a coolant cooler is provided, the latter having at least one aluminum cooling channel with a cooler surface provided with flux. The cooler device is provided in a motor vehicle and is then put into operation with at least one fuel cell of the motor vehicle. In order to form a passivation layer on the coolant cooler, according to the invention a previously provided aqueous passivation solution is formed from passivation layer forming material and fuel cell wastewater is applied to the cooler surface, provided with the flux, of the at least one aluminum cooling channel, the passivation solution reacting with the cooler surface, provided with the flux, of the at least one aluminum cooling channel while thermal energy provided by the coolant cooler is supplied, forming a passivation layer.

The invention relates to a method for operating a fuel cell system, comprising a cooling circuit for cooling at least one fuel cell, wherein a coolant circulating in the cooling circuit is cooled with a coolant cooler, which also has air flowing through it. The air is supplied by a fan assembly. The fuel cell system also comprises an evaporative cooling unit, which, upstream of the coolant cooler, introduces water into the air supplied by the fan assembly. An increased efficiency of the fuel cell system alongside sufficient cooling of the at least one fuel cell is achieved in that the evaporative cooling unit introduces water at a maximum rate before the fan assembly reaches its maximum air mass flow. The invention also relates to a fuel cell system of this type, as well as a motor vehicle comprising a fuel cell system of this type.

Cooling method for operating a fuel-cell system

A heat exchanger for a fuel cell is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes at least two tube bodies that are arranged at a distance from one another and are in each case structured so that a fluid can flow through internally and so that air can flow around externally. A water channel, through which water can flow fluidically separated from the fluid, is arranged in or on at least one tube body. At least one opening, via which the water channel communicates fluidically with an external environment of the at least one tube body, is provided on the at least one tube body. The at least one opening is arranged in the at least one tube body so that at least one of the tube bodies can be wetter with water, which is guided through the water channel and escapes the water channel through the at least one opening.

Heat exchanger, fuel cell assembly and method

A fuel cell device of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The fuel cell device includes a fuel cell, a supply air path leading to the fuel cell for a cathode supply air flow, and an exhaust air path leading away from the fuel cell for a cathode exhaust air flow. The supply air path and the exhaust air path are routed through a humidifier that humidifies the supply air and dehumidifies the exhaust air. The exhaust air path is further routed through a water separator that removes water from the exhaust air to provide evaporation water. A heat exchanger for cooling the fuel cell is provided that has an evaporative cooler for cooling the heat exchanger. The evaporative cooler is assigned to the water separator in fluidic communication and is supplied with evaporation water by the water separator.

Fuel device and the use thereof in a motor vehicle

A thermal management system for a vehicle may include a refrigerant circuit in which a refrigerant circulates, as well as a heating circuit, a first coolant circuit configured for a temperature control of a drive device of the vehicle, and a second coolant circuit configured for a temperature control of an electrical store of the vehicle in which a coolant circulates. The system may further include a chiller incorporated in the refrigerant circuit and a chiller guide fluidically separate from the refrigerant circuit. The chiller guide may have a chiller path configured to conduct the coolant and which extends through the chiller, and may have a bypass path configured to conduct the coolant and which circumvents the chiller. The system may additionally include a chiller valve device configured to selectively fluidically connect the first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit to the chiller path and the bypass path.

Thermal management system for a vehicle

A system for a motor vehicle for heating and/or cooling a battery and a motor vehicle interior is provided that includes a first coolant circuit thermally coupled to the battery, a second coolant circuit for heating the motor vehicle interior having an air heat exchanger for outputting heat from the second coolant circuit to the air of the interior of the motor vehicle, and a heating unit for heating the second coolant circuit. The first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit are thermally coupled to each other for heating the battery using heat from the second coolant circuit and/or for cooling the air of the motor vehicle interior, in that heat from the second coolant circuit can be fed to the first coolant circuit by the circuit heat exchanger or the mixing valve.

An intercooler may include an air-outlet tank, a condensate collector for collecting condensate separated off the intercooler, and a condensate line connected to the condensate collector via an entrance and that opens out into the air-outlet tank via an exit. There may be a pressure difference between the entrance and the exit of the condensate line during operation of the intercooler, and said pressure difference may allow differential-pressure-induced discharge of condensate from the condensate collector via the condensate line.

Inter cooler

An intercooler may include an air outlet tank, at least one condensate collector for collecting at least one of condensate, which is separated in the intercooler, and moisture, and a drying agent arranged in the at least one condensate collector. The at least one condensate collector may be arranged in a region of the intercooler accessible to a charge air flow. The drying agent may be able to at least one of absorb, store and discharge at least one of the condensate and moisture to the charge air flow.

The invention relates to a method for operating a circuit having a heat accumulator, having a coolant circuit, having a heat accumulator in a line of the circuit and having at least one valve and one pump, wherein, when the valve is open, the heat accumulator can be charged with coolant from the coolant circuit by means of the pump, or coolant can be discharged from the heat accumulator into the coolant circuit, wherein the charging or discharging of the heat accumulator takes place in an open-loop-controlled or closed-loop-controlled manner as a function of a temperature difference of a temperature of the coolant in the circuit and a temperature of the coolant in the heat accumulator.

A heat exchanger is provided that comprises at least two rows of low channels through which a liquid medium can flow, and secondary surfaces arranged between the flow channels and over which air flows, the liquid medium and the air being circulated in the cross-counterflow and the first row being arranged on the air outlet side and the second row on the air inlet side. According to the invention, the liquid medium enters a first region of the first row, is deflected into a second region inside the first row, and from the second region of the first row into the second row.
