A separator plate for an electrochemical system, comprising a first and a second metal layer arranged with flat sides adjacent to each other. The first and the second metal layer each having at least one through-opening for supplying and/or discharging a fluid. Circumferential edges of the through-openings are formed at least in part by a half-bead. An open edge of the half-bead is angled so as to form a collar.

Separator plate and electrochemical cell

The invention relates to a separator plate for an electrochemical system, comprising a first and a second plate, which are essentially congruently arranged on top of one another. The first and/or second plates furthermore include at least one elongated projection, which protrudes on opposite sides from a plate plane of the separator plate and extends along the plate plane from an outer edge to an interior of the separator plate so that the projection of the first plate and/or the projection of the second plate, if necessary together, form a receptacle for a connector pin. The projection of the first plate or the projection of the second plate includes an indentation directed toward the respective opposite plate for fixing the connector pin in the receptacle in a force-fit and/or form-locked manner.

Separator plate and electrochemical system

An electrochemical system having two metallic separator plates, an electrochemical cell arranged between the separator plates and sealed by at least one sealing element, and fixing elements for fixing the separator plates. The fixing elements comprise at least two fixing elements which are designed as integral with the first or with the second separator plate, which differ from the at least one sealing element, are spaced apart from the at least one sealing element parallel to the plate planes of the separator plates, and project at least in sections beyond the plate planes of the separator plates in a stacking direction. The first fixing element is thereby supported on the second fixing element in such a way that the second fixing element prevents a displacement of the first separator plate relative to the second separator plate.

Electrochemical system

The invention relates to a separator plate for an electrochemical system, comprising: at least one first through-opening for conducting a reaction medium through the separator plate; an active region having structures for guiding a reactor medium along a flat side of the separator plate; and a first sealing structure, surrounding the first through-opening, for sealing the first through-opening. The first sealing structure has a first passage for conducting a reaction medium through the first sealing structure, which passage points in a direction facing away from the active region. The invention also relates to a bipolar plate for an electrochemical system, which bipolar plate comprises the described separator plate.

Separator plate for an electrochemical system

A separator plate for an electrochemical system is described. The separator plate may be used with a bipolar plate and for an electrochemical system comprising a plurality of bipolar plates. The separator plate may have a flow field and guiding structures for guiding a medium through the flow field. The guiding structures of the flow field have a mean height hdetermined perpendicularly to the planar surface plane of the plate. The separator plate may also have a contiguous, lowered transition region where medium flowing from a channel into the flow field, or from the flow field into the channel, flows through the transition region, wherein the transition region has a maximum height hdetermined perpendicularly to the planar surface plane of the plate, where applies: h&#x2264;0.95&#xb7;h.

A flow plate for a humidifier, and to such a humidifier having a plurality of flow plates and water exchange membranes are described. The flow plate has a flow field with a plurality of free-standing support elements, wherein the support elements extend, at least in sections, perpendicular to the flat surface plane of the flow plate. Gas to be humidified or gas giving off moisture flows on the flow field. In the humidifier, the flow plates are arranged in a stack, wherein a membrane composite having at least one water exchange membrane is arranged between each pair of adjacent flow plates in the stack. The support elements improve the performance of the humidifier and therefore the number of flow plates can be reduced, making a lower-weight and space-saving design possible.

A separator plate for an electrochemical system has two metal individual plates. The plates have passage openings for operating media and possibly coolant, and distribution structures. The distribution structures are formed in the metal individual plates and which each communicate with at least two of the passage openings. A peripherally extending sealing structure is formed in each of the metal individual plates at least peripherally around the electrochemically active region and at a distance therefrom and/or peripherally around at least one of the passage openings and at a distance from the edge thereof. The cross-section of the sealing structure has a bead roof, two bead flanks, and at least in some segments, two bead feet. At least in the region of the bead roof of the sealing structure at least in some segments, the sealing structure extends sinuously with at least two wave periods having convex and concave segments.

An electrochemical system is described having an end plate, a stack cover plate adjacent to the end plate and at least one metallic electrical conductor. The stack cover plate has an electrically conductive contacting plate adjacent to the end plate and an electrically conductive separator plate half facing away from the end plate. The contacting plate and the separator plate half are connected to each other electrically and media-tight. The metallic electrical conductor extends to an outside of the electrochemical system. The metallic electrical conductor and the contacting plate are in one piece or the metallic electrical conductor contacts the contacting plate directly. The contacting plate and the separator plate half are bonded to each other.

The application relates to a water transfer compound, preferably for use for the humidification of process gases for fuel cells, comprising:&#x2014;a water-permeable and essentially gas-impermeable water transfer layer as well as&#x2014;at least one thermoplastic protection layer which is water- and gas-permeable at least in sections, where&#x2014;the water transfer layer and the thermoplastic protection layer overlap each other at least in sections and comprise a first and a second overlapping area, where&#x2014;the water transfer layer in the first overlapping area is accessible for humid gases through the thermoplastic protection layer and the water transfer compound is thermocompressed in the second overlapping area so that the water transfer layer in the second overlapping area is not accessible for humid gases through the compressed thermoplastic protection layer.
