The invention concerns a press muffle made of an embedding mass for the production of dental restoration parts, with the embedding mass comprising at least one weakly heat-conducting, in particular ceramic, basic powder, with up to 70%, in particular 2% to 40% of the entire embedding mass () consisting of an additive having a higher thermal conductivity than the basic powder.

The invention proposes a muffle with a pressing channel and at least one mold cavity that is coupled to the pressing channel via at least one connection channel. In this case, in order to increase the pressing pressure and to improve the intermixing of the blank material, it is proposed to arrange at least two blanks () side by side in the pressing channel ().

Muffle and method of using

A method for producing dental restoration components includes filling a retort cylinder of a retort system with a forming mass, the retort cylinder being at least partially encircled by a charging body, and hardening the forming mass. After the hardening of the forming mass, the retort cylinder and the charging body are removed from the forming mass, thereby leaving behind a retort. Thereafter, with the assistance of a press blank apparatus, a press blank having an outer contour substantially corresponding to the outer contour of the charging body is pressed into the retort.
