A method for determining an NOconcentration in a measurement gas is provided, where a measurement value for the NOconcentration is determined from the sensor signal of a gas sensor and a measurement value for the concentration of a second component in the measurement gas is determined. A corrected value for the NOin the measurement gas is determined from the measurement values, and the measurement value and the corrected measurement value for the NOconcentration are displayed and/or output.

A condensate separator especially for a portable smoke or gas analyzer includes a condensate chamber (26) formed inside a housing (20) and sealed off from the environment. A gas supply element (30) is inserted into condensate chamber (26) and a gas discharge element (40) is provided to discharge gas from the condensate chamber (26). A Peltier element (10) having a hot side (12) and a cold side (14) is mounted on housing (20) and serves to cool the test gas flowing through condensate chamber (26), with cold side (14) being inserted almost completely into condensate chamber (26) so that it is in direct contact with the test gas. An elongated unheated test gas tube (100) supplies test gas to the condensate separator.

A method for preparing a test gas stream for a gas analyzer in which test gas is drawn from a test gas stream by a test gas probe, conducted through a test gas tube to a condensate separator, and then analyzed in the gas analyzer for certain components such as NO.sub.2 and SO.sub.2 for example, with the average flow rate of the test gas stream in the test gas tube being set to a value of at least 1.5 m/s.

Method for preparing a test gas stream

A method for determining the difference in enthalpy that occurs when a gas stream loaded with water vapor is cooled to a temperature below the dew point temperature, especially for determining its water vapor content (moisture measurement) is disclosed. The device preferably used to perform the method includes a gas cooler having an electrical cooling element and inlet and outlet ports through which a gas stream flows. Measuring devices are provided in the inlet and outlet ports to detect state parameters and through-flow values of the gas stream. The outputs from the measuring devices are evaluated by an evaluation device in connection with the electrical power draw of cooling element to determine the difference in enthalpy between the inlet and outlet ports and/or the water content of the gas stream.

Method and device for determining the moisture content of a gas stream

The invention relates to a process and a device for measuring a gas medium with a chemical sensor that has a nominal measuring range. The chemical sensor is exposed to a gas mixture consisting of sample gas stream and dilution gas stream. In order to ensure that the chemical sensor always works within its nominal measuring range, the dilution ratio is readjusted. According to the invention, the dilution ratio is determined by substance concentration measurement of a defined substance component.

Process and device for measuring a gas medium with a chemical sensor

A condensate separator for separating liquids from gases comprises a tubular housing which is closed at each end by a body forming part of a flow element which extends into the tubular housing. The flow elements have axial bores, the bore of one flow element terminating in a transverse bore; the bore in the other flow element is an axial bore. In addition,filters are provided, preferably a coarse particle filter downstream of the inlet and a fine particle filter upstream of the outlet.
