Systems and methods related to preparing foamed cement for laboratory analysis are provided. A prepared cement slurry is placed in a cement reservoir cell configured to pressurize the cement slurry contained within the cement reservoir cell to a capture pressure. After pressurization, the cement slurry and a compressed gas are introduced into a foam generator. Foamed cement generated in the foam generator is introduced from the tee into a foam capture cell where it can cure prior to analysis.

System and method of producing foamed cement in a laboratory environment

Provided are compositions and methods of using a liquid suspension of hollow particles comprising a plurality of hollow particles, water, a suspending aid, and a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of a non-ionic surfactant, a latex, an oleaginous fluid, porous silica, and combinations thereof. The liquid suspension is homogenous. An example method includes statically storing the liquid suspension in a container for at least one week; wherein the liquid suspension maintains a difference in density from the top of the container to the bottom of the container of less than one pound per gallon while stored. The method further includes adding the liquid suspension to a treatment fluid; wherein the liquid suspension reduces the density of the treatment fluid; and introducing the treatment fluid into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation.

A method of cementing a wellbore comprises combining a liquid additive with a cement slurry, the liquid additive comprising a metal gluconate, an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal salt, an alkanolamine, a dispersant, and water to form a cementing composition; injecting the cementing composition into the wellbore; and allowing the cementing composition to set.

Some aspects of what is described here relate to analyzing a well cement slurry. In some aspects, a well cement slurry is mixed in a mixer under a plurality of conditions. The plurality of conditions correspond to a plurality of distinct Reynolds number values for the well cement slurry in the mixer. Power number values associated with mixing the well cement slurry in the mixer under the plurality of conditions are identified. Each power number value is based on an amount of energy used to mix the well cement slurry under a respective one of the plurality of conditions. Values for parameters of a functional relationship between power number and Reynolds number are identified based on the power number values and the Reynolds number values for the plurality of conditions.

The present disclosure relates to a method of cementing comprising: providing a cement composition comprising: water, a cement, and a non-aqueous liquid anti-shrinkage cement additive comprising calcined magnesium oxide and a non-aqueous liquid; introducing the cement composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the cement composition to set in the subterranean formation. Disclosed herein are methods, compositions, and systems for cementing. A method of cementing may comprise: providing a composite cement composition comprising a pozzolan, an accelerator, and water, wherein the accelerator comprises a chloride salt and a sulfate salt, wherein the composite cement composition is free of Portland cement or comprises Portland cement in an amount of about 50% by weight of cementitious components or less; and allowing the composite cement composition to set.

An example method may comprise introducing swellable glass particles into a zone of a subterranean formation; contacting the swellable glass particles with a resin composition in the zone; and allowing the resin composition to harden in the zone whereby flow through the zone is reduced.

A method of mitigating annular pressure buildup includes providing or using a foamed treatment fluid including: an aqueous base fluid; a water-soluble polymer comprising carbonyl groups; an organic crosslinking agent that comprises an amine group that is capable of crosslinking the water-soluble polymer comprising carbonyl groups; a foam surfactant; and sufficient gas to form a foam; and introducing the foamed treatment fluid into a well bore annulus. A foamed treatment fluid includes an aqueous base fluid; a water-soluble polymer comprising carbonyl groups; an organic crosslinking agent that comprises an amine group that is capable of crosslinking the water-soluble polymer comprising carbonyl groups; a foam surfactant; and sufficient gas to form a foam.
