The spacer panel is spaced from the cover panel to define a first annular flow path between the cover panel and the spacer panel, and the spacer panel is spaced from the body panel to define a second annular flow path between the body panel and the spacer panel.

A method of installing a decompression panel assembly in an aircraft. The decompression panel assembly includes a body portion, a baffle member, and a panel member. The method includes coupling the body portion to the panel member, wherein the body portion includes a plurality of frame members defining a plurality of openings in the body portion. The method also includes coupling the baffle member to the plurality of frame members such that the baffle member removably obstructs at least one opening of the plurality of openings. Decompression panel assembly

A decompression panel assembly for use in an aircraft includes a body portion comprising a plurality of frame members defining a plurality of openings in the body portion. The decompression panel assembly also includes a baffle member integrally formed with the plurality of frame members such that the baffle member removably obstructs at least one opening of the plurality of openings. The baffle member is configured for at least partial displacement from the at least one opening during a decompression event.

Decompression panel assembly and methods of manufacturing the same

Systems and methods are provided for securing aircraft sidewall. One embodiment comprises a hanger for supporting sections of sidewall for an aircraft. The hanger includes an elongated vertical member that attaches to a frame of the aircraft, and sets of keyholes that are each arranged in a vertical pattern along the member and that are each configured to support a corresponding section of sidewall of the aircraft. Each keyhole includes a receptacle dimensioned to receive a fitting from a section of sidewall, and a slot dimensioned to slidably accept the fitting via the receptacle to secure the fitting in place. The slot size of keyholes in each set varies from one end of the vertical pattern to another end of the vertical pattern.

A return air bridge for use in an aircraft assembly includes an inboard portion configured to couple to a sidewall assembly at a bottom edge of the sidewall assembly and an outboard portion configured to couple to a structural member. The return air bridge also includes at least one support coupling the inboard portion to the outboard portion such that a return air flow path is defined between the inboard portion and the outboard portion. The outboard portion comprises a plate configured to direct an air flow along the return air flow path upwardly with respect to the bottom edge of the sidewall assembly.

A clamp device includes a clamp portion defining a threaded opening therein. The clamp portion is configured to contact a first side of a beam. The clamp device also includes a threaded fastener configured for insertion into the threaded opening via a hole defined within the decompression panel. The clamp device causes the decompression panel to contact a second side of the beam when the threaded fastener is tightened within the threaded opening.

A heated roller shade system is provided. The heated roller shade system includes a roller located in a cavity defined between an inner wall of a vehicle and an outer wall of the vehicle. The roller shade system also includes a shade coupled to the roller. The roller is configured to selectively move the shade between a deployed position and an open position. The roller shade system also includes a heating mechanism coupled to at least one of the roller and the shade. The heating mechanism facilitates increasing a temperature of at least one of the roller and the shade.

A method of installing and replacing a plurality of decompression panels into a sidewall assembly of an aircraft includes coupling a first decompression panel to at least one of a sidewall and a floor panel of the sidewall assembly. The method also includes inserting a tab of the first decompression panel into a slot of a second decompression panel. The slot is defined by a flange extending along a surface of the second decompression panel. The method further includes coupling the second decompression panel to at least one of a sidewall and a floor panel of the sidewall assembly.

A hatch assembly for use in a vehicle is provided. The hatch assembly includes a hatch structure including an upper portion and a lower portion, an armrest support rail coupled to the hatch structure and defining a shade slot between the hatch structure and the armrest support rail, and a shade sized for insertion through the shade slot. The shade is configured to selectively translate between the upper portion and the lower portion of the hatch structure through the shade slot.

A decompression panel for use in an aircraft assembly that includes a body portion including a top edge and a bottom edge, and a front surface and a rear surface opposing the front surface. A plurality of openings are formed in the body portion, and a first stiffening member is formed on the rear surface below the plurality of openings. The first stiffening member extends from the rear surface towards the top edge such that the plurality of openings are at least partially obstructed by the first stiffening member.
