A substrate for inkjet printing, which includes a photoresist layer structure on a base substrate, and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The substrate, which has high surface tension variation and slight thickness variation, may be manufactured at a low cost. The substrate includes a discontinuous organic layer structure made of a fluorinated hydrocarbon or a polysiloxane on the photoresist layer structure.

A flat panel display and a method of manufacturing the same, which allows the formation of an organic film by inkjet printing while avoiding overflow of ink into adjacent areas, thus increasing the uniformity of thickness of the organic film and decreasing manufacturing costs. The flat panel display includes a substrate, a first electrode layer formed on the substrate, ink with material for a light emission layer formed on an active area of the first electrode layer, a repellant area formed of organic material located around the active area, and a border area also formed of organic material located between the active area and the repellant area. A surface energy of the border area is higher than a surface energy of the repellant area.

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) with an increased service life and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The OLED is subjected to electromagnetic radiation with a spectrum that at least partially overlaps the absorption spectrum of an organic material layer of the OLED. As a result, the OLED has a longer service life, reduced decay in its initial brightness, and more saturated color than a conventional OLED.
