A low voltage circuit breaker is provided. The low voltage circuit breaker includes a contact system with a first contact and a second contact that are electrically connectable and disconnectable relative to one another. The first contact includes a body having a first layer and a second layer, wherein the first layer is arranged on the second layer and is configured to come in contact with the second contact for providing the electrical connection with the second contact. The first layer has a first material composition having an Ag content that is higher than an Ag content of a second material composition of the second layer. Further, the first material composition has a WC content that is lower than a WC content of the second material composition.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an alloy as a brazing alloy for an electric switch braze joint, an electric switch braze joint, an electric switch and a method of producing an electric switch braze joint. The alloy composition of said the alloy consists of at least one element selected from each of group I and group II listed below, and a balance of impurities, Ag, and at least one of Cu, and Zn. Group I encompasses Cd, Mn, Ni, P, Sb, Si, Sn, Ti, and oxides thereof in a total amount of 0.5 to 45.0 wt. %. Group II encompasses Bi, Mo, Te, W, and oxides thereof, oxides of Cu and Zn in a total amount of 0.1 to 15.0 wt. %.

An electrical switch assembly includes a contact element to be moved towards a further contact element for generating an electrical connection; and a drive for moving the contact element; wherein the drive includes a plunger with a connection member interconnected with the contact element; wherein the plunger includes a mechanical structure with a top side to which the connection member is connection, and a bottom side opposite to the top side; wherein the drive includes a Thomas coil for moving the plunger via an electrically conducting top face, which is provided on the top side and an electrically conducting bottom face, which is provided on the bottom side. The mechanical structure includes at least one channel between the top side and the bottom side, the at least one channel extending transverse to a movement direction of the plunger. Furthermore, the mechanical structure fills less than 50% of a volume between the top side and the bottom side.
