An apparatus and a method for ascertaining and billing for a volume of air generated by an air-conveying device. The air quantity ascertaining and billing apparatus has an air-conveying device generating an air volume flow through an air passage. A measuring device measures air-related parameters of the particular air volume flow. An analysis unit analyzes the measured parameters, in order to determine the total air volume that was conveyed by the air conveying device through the air passage over a period. A transfer device transfers the value determined for the air volume by the analysis unit to a validation device. The validation device links the air volume flow or the determined air volume to an economic value, in order to obtain a billing value for the generated air volume.

A dynamically addressable master-slave system and a method for dynamically addressing slave units includes a master unit and a plurality of slave units, such that the slave units are interconnected with the master unit via a bus system. The respective network addresses of the slave units are assigned to the respective serial numbers of these slave units in a table in the master unit according to the position thereof in the system according to a determined order. Upon replacement of slave units, a list of serial numbers of the units to be replaced is transferred to the master unit in the sequence of the acquisition of the serial numbers, which master unit replaces these serial numbers in the table with the serial numbers of the replaced slave units transmitted to the master unit.

The invention relates to a ventilator, having an electrical ventilator motor and an electrical connection device for connecting electrical motor lines leading to the motor to external electrical connecting lines. The connection device has a terminal box mounted to a device part comprising electrical contact elements, and has an additional connection part, to which the motor lines are connected. The terminal box is releasably connected to the additional connection part via electrical plug-in connections.

The present invention concerns an electronic housing for an electric motor, consisting of a housing holder part with a housing floor and a housing wall comprising the housing floor. A housing opening lies opposite the housing floor. Arranged in the housing holder part is a motor electronic component with an electronic printed circuit board, which is arranged parallel to the opening plane of the housing opening. Detachably arranged on the electronic printed circuit board or on the motor electronic component, on a side of the electronic printed circuit board facing away from the housing floor is a contact protecting component, which covers this surface, from an electrically insulating material, which has at least partially a grid structure as an air outlet.

A circuit for thermal protection and power regulation as a function of the current winding temperature of phase windings of an electric motor. The circuit including at least one temperature monitor switch (TW, TW) that measures the winding temperature of the phase windings, and that upon attainment of a specific winding temperature shuts off the winding current flowing through the windings, the circuit further including a PTC thermistor that is associated with the phase windings and that, upon attainment of a specific winding temperature, reduces power by means of a resistance increase, or shuts the motor off. One of the phase windings has the PTC thermistor. The other phase windings or winding has a temperature monitor switch. The PTC thermistor and the temperature monitor switch or switches (TW, TW) are connected in series to a voltage source.
