A device for operating an electric machine, it being possible for the electric machine to be at least operated in generator mode, having an electrical energy accumulator that is connected to the electric machine by an electrical circuit that has a main switch; the circuit having a motor brake circuit that is designed to feed the electrical energy generated by the electric machine in generator mode to the energy accumulator. It is provided that the motor brake circuit be designed to convert the electrical energy into heat in the case of a failure of the main switch, of a connection of the circuit to the energy accumulator and/or of the energy accumulator itself.

A method for obtaining field strength information from a received electromagnetic signal by a receiver unit is provided, whereby an input voltage for an operational amplifier is generated from the received signal in the receiver unit by means of an input resistance realized as a voltage divider circuit and an output voltage is generated by the operational amplifier by means of a fixed amplification factor. The input voltage is changed until the output voltage lies within a predefined interval that includes the value of the reference voltage. The input voltage is tapped at the voltage divider circuit and, to change the input voltage at the voltage divider circuit, which has a plurality of divider nodes and a constant resistance value, a divider node is selected and a partial voltage is tapped. The field strength value received by the receiver unit is determined from a comparison of a quantity assigned to the selected divider node.

Method for obtaining field strength information

A measuring device is disclosed for capacitive pressure and/or temperature measurement, particularly for tire pressure control systems, having at least one sensor, which has a capacitive measuring element to detect a state value, which is applied at an output-side measuring node of the measuring element, with at least one A/D converter operating according to the dual-slope method, with a charging/discharging circuit, for mutual charging and discharging of the measuring element and for generating a sawtooth-shaped measuring potential at the measuring node as a measure for the capacitance of the measuring element, with a period counter, which determines the periods of the measuring potential, and with a clock counter, which determines the cycles of a clock signal, which lie within the duration of at least one period of the measuring potential. The invention relates to a measuring method for capacitive pressure and/or temperature measurement.
