An alloy, in particular for an anti-friction coating, includes elements which form a matrix and at least a soft phase and/or a hard phase, which soft phase elements and/or hard phase elements form a solid solution or a bond with the matrix element. The soft phase and/or hard phase is dispersed in the matrix and the solid solution or bond is formed only in the region of the phase boundary of the matrix with the soft phase and/or with the hard phase.

Alloy, in particular for a bearing coating

The invention relates to an alloy, in particular for an anti-friction coating, comprising elements which form a matrix () and at least a soft phase () and/or a hard phase (), which soft phase elements and/or hard phase elements form a solid solution or a bond with the matrix element. The soft phase () and/or hard phase () is dispersed in the matrix () and the solid solution or bond is formed only in the region of the phase boundary () of the matrix () with the soft phase () and/or with the hard phase ().

The invention describes a sliding element, in particular a sliding bearing, with a support element and a sliding layer, between which a bearing metal layer is arranged, wherein the sliding layer is made from bismuth or a bismuth alloy, and wherein the crystallites of the bismuth or the bismuth alloy in the sliding layer adopt a preferred direction with respect to their orientation, expressed by the Miller index of the lattice plane (012), wherein the X-ray diffraction intensity of the lattice plane (012) is the greatest compared to the X-ray diffraction intensities of other lattice planes. The X-ray diffraction intensity of the lattice plane with the second-largest X-ray diffraction intensity is a maximum of 10% of the X-ray diffraction intensity of the lattice plane (012).

Sliding element

A method is described for electroplating a cylindrical inside surface () of a work-piece () extending substantially over a semi-circle, with an electrolyte being conveyed from a bath () in a circulation through a gap () between the inside surface () and a revolving guide means (). In order to ensure advantageous coating conditions it is proposed that the electrolyte is conveyed with the help of the guide means () immersed only partly in the bath () in the circumferential direction through the gap () between the guide means () and the work-piece () guided outside of the bath ().

Method for electroplating a cylindrical inside surface of a work-piece-extending substantially over a semi-circle

A method of producing a workpiece forming at least one bearing eye is described, which is divided in the region of the bearing eye along an intended fracture point through a fracture separation, the bearing eye being coated with an anti-friction coating after assembly of the parts. In order to achieve a high load capacity, it is suggested that the bearing eye be processed for a precise fit after assembly of the parts obtained through the fracture separation of the workpiece, before the anti-friction coating is applied to the processed bearing eye surface in a thickness corresponding to the final dimensions.

Method of producing a workpiece forming at least one bearing eye

A method of producing a workpiece () having at least one bearing eye () is described, the bearing eye () being coated with an anti-friction coating (), which forms a running surface deviating from a circular cylinder. In order to provide advantageous production conditions, it is suggested that the bearing eye () be processed for a precise fit to a circular cylinder, before the anti-friction coating () is galvanically deposited on the processed bearing eye surface () to form the running surface in a varying thickness which corresponds to the final dimensions.

Method of producing a workpiece having at least one bearing eye

A process for galvanic depositing of a dispersion layer on a surface of a work piece, in particular a contact layer on a plain bearing half liner, is described, where an electrolyte with the dispersed phase finely distributed therein is moved opposite the work piece surface to be coated with formation of a flow component parallel to the surface. In order to create advantageous processing conditions, the surface of the work piece to be coated is profiled prior to coating with an average minimum profile depth of 5 &mgr;m and is then coated transversely to a salient profile direction in a flow component of the electrolyte opposite the work piece surface.

Process for galvanic depositing of a dispersion layer on a work piece surface

A process for the application of a metal film on a polymer surface of a subject, to which, after nucleation with a catalytically active platinum metal and/or a platinum metal compound, a coating metal is precipitated autocatalytically from an aqueous solution without any external current supply, before at least another layer is applied, preferably electrolytically under external current supply, to this preliminary coating. To achieve favorable construction features, it is suggested that centers of a Lewis acid or Lewis base are enriched first on the polymer surface to be coated by a vacuum plasma treatment via a plasma gas adapted to the polymer used, before the polymer surface is nucleated under vacuum with the platinum metal and/or the platinum metal compound by another plasma gas containing an evaporated platinum metal and/or a platinum metal compound for nucleophilic and/or electrophilic reaction on the Lewis acids and/or Lewis bases.

Process for the application of a metal film on a polymer surface of a subject

There is described an electrodeposited alloy layer, in particular an overlay (2) of a plain bearing, comprising a layered alloy having at least one alloying element in addition to a base metal (,), in whose matrix containing the alloying element in a finely crystalline form inorganic particles with a diameter smaller than 2 &mgr;m are incorporated finely divided. To ensure the finely crystalline structure of the alloying element deposited in the alloy matrix, it is proposed that the inorganic particles used as nucleating agents with a diameter of 0.01 to 1 &mgr;m should have a crystal form at least substantially corresponding to the form of crystallization of the alloying element.

Copper-based sliding surface

In the described process of manufacturing a sliding surface bearing comprising a backing shell of steel, a bearing metal layer on the backing shell, and a copper-containing sliding surface layer, which has been electrodeposited over said bearing metal layer, the backing shell is provided throughout its rear surface, which constitutes the rear surface of the bearing, with a tin-containing corrosion-resisting layer after the sliding surface layer has been deposited. To prevent a separation of the corrosion-resisting layer, it is proposed that the rear surface of the bearing is covered with an electrodeposited nickel layer before the sliding surface layer is deposited on the bearing metal layer or on an intermediate layer of nickel provided on the bearing metal layer.
